Sprite work looks pretty nice. Hopefully it turns out better then the old SNES/MD Terminator 2 game.

This looks very good! As soon as the theme plays i get goosebumps. I love Terminator, every year i watch my special edition DVD of 1 and 2 (the only ones that exist!), but the only Terminator game that i really liked is Terminator Resistance.

Hm. Looks very much like a 2D version of that awful Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines game from 2003, but based on Terminator 2: Judgment Day instead and actually good.

Oh hey neat - Bitmap Bureau! Those guys generally put out quality games.
Final Vendetta is a super solid Beat 'em Up (with really fun to pick out recycled sprite animations if you have an eye for that kind of thing) and Xeno Crisis is one of the best Smash TV hommages I've played.

I've been thinking that this is somehow a remake of the NES game. It has the same levels, but in greater detail.

It looks perfect, I love that they couldn't get Arnolds likeness so his face is torn off in the sprite art to reveal the T-800's steel skellington.

Arnold is weird about his likeness, he complained about pixel art not looking like him in the early 90's so he'd decline use of his likeness, unless it actually looks like him, he's not interested, so PS2 games onwards actually had his likeness, even if he was too lazy to do voice lines anymore after he become a politician, he did the dialogue for the start of redemption and the T3 game on ps2 and since then it's all sound alikes that clearly aren't him and this annoys me too no end!.

That said, it could be that he wants nothing to do with Terminator anymore after two bombs in a row since it's just his face and everyone esle is in there, linda hamilton, even the future john connor in T2 gave permission for his likeness. But he gave his likeness for Conan in MK1 as he's fishing to play Conan again.

He's currently on a mission to play older King Conan and he's just not giving up on it, and in all honesty, investors wouldn't back his conan movie after the first terminator bomb as they said he has no draw anymore, we could've had it ten years ago otherwise.

That's why netflix suddenly got an arnold documentary, they had the license to conan and is also why the Atlantean sword was in stranger things before it fell through again.

Conan would't really fly in the modern political landscape though, so I'd be surpised if we see anything.

I would love a golden axe style conan game though, since golden axe was essentially an off license conan game.

It looks promising but dang, I wish they could make a survival horror game as a back to the roots of the original movie (which was a Slasher) instead of doing action all the time.

I liked Resistance though.

Hey! Don't you dare diss Robocop vs. The Terminator. That game is ultraviolent and badass.

The snes version wasn't great, the genesis one was much smoother and had the better sound track and sound effects, which was unusual as the snes version was usually always the superior release.

that said, it's still one of the best side scrolling shooters of all time with amazing level design and a god awful second boss designed to sop you finishing the game in a weekend.... or at all really, you needed the extra lives cheat to get past that cheap crap.

I went ahead and fired up the first few levels and was pretty impressed by the variety. It went from a Contra styled Run & Gun, to a Sidescrolling Beat Em Up, to a driving stage of the famous motorcycle chase scene, all with excellent sprite work and game feel.

I'll be tearing into this over the weekend, but so far it seems pretty darn good.
