People complaining about the price don't seem to understand what the Neo Geo is. It wasn't really engineered to be cheap. It was an arcade machine compacted into a console that was made to play arcade cartridges. Neither were made cheaply. It was intended as a rental system to play literal arcade games at home, but rich people bought them. An authentic recreation isn't going to be much different. The prices listed actually seem reasonable in this context. It's the most "affordable" way to get real hardware.

This is still not for me. I don't have much of an attachment to the Neo Geo library, and it's still too expensive to buy on a whim. It would be neat to have, but it would almost certainly gather dust more than be played in my case.

Not for me, won't be buying but definitely neat. It not being just a basic soc crammed into a nice case is a big plus too. Surprisingly cheap too but I guess they are subsidizing some of that with the games being $80 a piece.
