I've been watching all the music years lately, and I somehow liked the 80s the best. The music was cool and relaxed, and there were a lot of good singers. Here's one I particularly like. What are your favorite songs from the 80s?

Gotta like 80s music because it cares about being a music, it has great variety in the context of how the music is, it can be positive and negative yet lyrics are about the aspect of humanity you can actually relate by writing lyrics in a poetic way. Even the music clips tended to be an artwork.

Now the good old hype for art movements faded away so music became more of a "noise you may like to listen to" that's filled with whatever lyrics that is about generic aspect of humanity. Even love songs from 80s did worth listening to due its common sense, sane lyrics and poetic expression but now lyrics are like "bitch you dumped me so Imma burn your house" lol. No wonder despite a person may born in 2010s they would still like the 80s' songs.

Well, it's hard to choose a favorite song but perhaps the song I relate to most is this one in emotional level:

And this song is more like how I see the world partly so I relate to it in mental level:

And then this song is about how I see myself lolol:

Man you gotta love the 70s
While cannot deny how 80s songs are legenday and why they still matter and all but I think 70s songs and their educational reality slap aspects are so underrated these days lol!!! Me like me Barclay James Harvest a lot!!! Yet I understand new generations like the positive vibes of 80s songs but dislike 70s songs for how depressing they can be lol.

Music was less of an outright science and more of art before the 2000's and particularly the 80's.

It's kind of a shame but at the same time, music makes very little money now, tours and tour merch are majority of the income for a lot of artists. These days it's been boiled down to a science of basic catchy stuff with a massive marketing budget, specifically 20 million is put into an artist and they will be over played on the radio and pushed on Spotify till the cows come home. It would also be universally accepted as being garbage too. But not according to DJ's and twitter.

There's the odd viral song, but then a record label pushes them really hard after that, and they become generic.

I'm not a big 80's appreciator.

My best experiences with 80's music were:
  • GTA Vice City's radio stations while cruising around the city;
  • Highlander film soundtrack from Queen;

To be fair, the best radio station was Vice City Public Radio.

Yeah, GTA Vice City is the best.

Amy Sheckenhausen would like to have a word

Anyway, having lived that entire decade, there was just something about new wave when it was new, and stuff like Friday Night Videos for people who didn't have MTV. It was always something different and that was fun.

Very nice, all of your music is fantastic. If you have any more, please post it here.
Well I have a huge playlist for 80s songs which I like to separate me songs depending on the decades:

Due to for privacy me hid my profile from the playlist by using this website so no need for panic, everything is gucci lol!!!: https://playlistproxy.net/
