Earlier today, @Archienine posted a thread about the ugliest controllers you've ever seen, so by the karmic laws of the universe, I must post a beautiful controllers thread.

These can be almost any commercially available for any console or platform, past, present, or future. This includes 3rd party controllers like MadCats, 8bitdo, or whatever. However, I ask that you stay away from posting custom or modified controllers, as that would kind of ruin the point of this. You know how it is, an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite amount of soddering irons, will eventually make working arcade pad or something like that.

Speaking of which, I'll permit arcade pads, since those are practically all custom by default so.

Also, while you are expected to justify you're post on a purely aesthetic point, you are not in anyway barred from talking about controllers from exclusively a functional aspect as well. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and if it looks stupid but it works, it ain't stupid. Ya feel me?

So without further ado, I'd like to start this off by glazing a few of my all time favourite controllers:
1. CuleedTec Wireless Switch Controller:

A rechargeable Switch wireless Bluetooth controller with rubber grips on the handles and a turbo function. It features all of your essential buttons and feels a lot like the Dualshock 4 on the PS4 (especially the triggers). The D-Pad has a nice groove in the middle to rest your thumb, and I dig the Switchcon themed Red/Blue accents (though, it is available in a number of different colours, including a nasty toxic green, blech). Overall, A- controller, really cozy.

2. HORI Dragon Quest VIII Slime Controllers (PS2):

HA! I fucking wish this thing was still 40 bucks! I have never had the privledge of holding this abomination in my hands, but like it says on the box: "I'm cute, and a controller too!". It makes a wonderful conversation peace, is adorable, though I couldn't imagine this would play all that superbly well. As you can see, it's another rechargable wireless controllers, and it has all the buttons you expect (including L2, and R2, if you can believe it) and would probably be a treat to play DQVIII with it. B+ controller, is cute, very slime.

There is also a "Metal Slime" variant as well, which is pretty cool. Imagine setting this next to your silver PS2 and just seeing the panties dropping from all the hotties in the room. Heh.

I mean...if you can manage to get any hotties over who are in to PS2 games or something. I dunno. You find any though, they're mine, I called dibs...::slime-roll

But, speaking of HORI pads...

3. HORI Battle Pad for Wii/WiiU:

I personally have the red Mario one, but these are essentially GC controllers on steroids. All the same button layouts, alongside an additional ZL button to round out the shoulders, an added select and home button to facilitate the Wii/WiiU functions, and a stellar turbo option with frame options. It's really sturdy, but the control stick is a little loose, makes it feels like it's broken sometimes. This one's only technically wireless, since it acts like a Wii accessory and needs to be plugged into a Wiimote (like the Nunchuck). It came out around the release of Smash4, and works on both the Wii and the WiiU. A controller, shits cash.

THERE'S A METAL MARIO ONE!!!!

Put this together with the Zelda one, must feel like diving into Scrooge McDuck's money pit.

The very one I use day to day...
Mine's wired, as I dislike wireless controllers. Official Xbox One controller I got years ago during a Cyber Monday sale for 90% off. I think I paid around $15. It was brand new and unopened as well.

And I Absolutely LOVE it
Same colour as well.

So, this is how @Another Iori felt when i did the talk about any GBA game except these 25 thread?
Enjoy the high while it lasts, because there's really only two threads you can make with this kind of concept. Yours, and mine.

I will personally come to the houses of anyone who starts topics like "Stinkiest" or "Stupidest" or whatever kind of adjective you wanna preface it with, and steal all their controllers.

Hopefully the upcoming "Silliest Controllers" thread will have a guy post his Metal Slime controller, so then I can just nab it off of him.

Also:
I like these
Pretty plane jane, but I that USB Sega pad is pretty nifty. Does it have shoulder buttons? Or was it an official Saturn pad?

And, since you posted both the SNES and SFC controllers, I'm putting a gun to your head. Purple or Rainbow buttons?

I would love to have this one in my collection.View attachment 146026
Hopefully someone who already has this can stop by and inform us poor plebeians if it's any good or not, since I can imagine it's tear drop shape is not conducive to our simian grip.

Also, Metal, or Regular?

I'm a guy of simple likes. That SEGA Saturn controller is a Retrobit one but it's the same design like the This is Cool controller.
Also I prefer the rainbow buttons and the SFC logo.

Regular. Because Metal would escape immediately thanks to the RNG 😏. Also I love the blue color.

Every Mad Catz controller is beauty (for P2).

Got one that looks like this from a friend of mine, doesn't work so good but used to be my primary back in the day.

That's the worst controller that I've ever seen in the first post above.
What the!? You talking mess about my favourite controllers, man, I'll kill--

--Oh, oh right. this one I posted for a gag. Yeah, it looks like it's seen better days. Can barely tell it's a Dualshock 4, huh?

It's a real shame when people don't care good enough care for their controllers.

I have one of these. A regular blue one, picked up from my work back when they were new, because hey, who doesn't want this cute-ass thing on your shelf, right? If you have plans to acquire one of these, this is perhaps the most important wisdom I can impart to you: don't open it.

The shape is fairly uncomfortable as you have guessed, but it is also sticky to the touch in a very unpleasant way. I assume it's some of the coating breaking down or something, but I had it in a cabinet in a room where no direct sunlight was getting on it and it was never hot or cold in there, so perhaps it's just the natural way a DQ slime sheds. Whatever it is, it's nasty and would've been better served never leaving its packaging.

Wow, it's everything I feared and worse. Thank you for your sacrifice, for now I know my quest is folly, so I can put it to an end.

Uh, you wouldn't happen to have a Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw controller, right? If I find out that one is shit too, I can cross another thing off my "Stuff I need in my Life" list.

i've looked into controllers, but i haven't found anything like this idea, but switch controllers could do the same thing i guess, sorry not quite the topic
