I never played it myself, but I've seen a few reviews of it....

There's about a 50-50 split between people saying it's really good or downright awful, so honestly, I have no idea. It always looked good for a Wii game, and the bits of the story I’ve seen in the reviews seemed kind of interesting, as far as I remember.

It’s really just a question of whether you want a story. I mean, just grab it and try it... at worst it’ll be bad, and you can trash it and have wasted nothing but a bit of time. At best, you might love the story it tells, and it is a good game.

I found it interesting back in the day and enjoyed it enough to finish it - it has a really unique combat and party system that's definitely worth checking out.
The story, which has a fairly melancholy tone throughout, is mostly centered around a classical romance plot in a way that I want to say is fairly rare in games of this style.

That said, the thing I remember most is the character designs, which hit exactly right for teenage me back then. That casual wear + armor look was the coolest thing to me for a while there.

I definitely think it's worth checking out - all three Operation Rainfall games were at the very least interesting and outliers in the shovelware-heavy Wii library.
Xenoblade took off of course, but I could really go for another Last Story or Pandora's Tower.

It's a beautiful game with intuitive combat, one of the few action RPGs I actually enjoyed playing (as a turn-based purist).
The story is equal parts melancholy and whimsical, very romantic. But I remember wishing I could date the alcoholic lady in your party rather than the main love interest.

I emulated it on Dolphin and had some slowdown during big boss battles, but I have a pretty low-end PC. It might not be a problem for you.

I definitely think it's worth playing for the aesthetic and world-building, the music isn't bad either.

I know there was A LOT of demand for it back during the day with "Operation Rainfall." Everyone was begging for an English release along with Xenoblade.

I got to play this when it first came out. It's a really good action RPG game. Shame the director said he's unsure to remaster The Last Story to current consoles that could fix the graphics and bugs. But, I'm sure it will play great on Dophin.

Great game from the man behind all the best Final Fantasy games, as well as Lost Odyssey- another game that deserves more than a cult following.

Not a perfect game, but I remember having fun with it. It has decent pacing and doesn't wear out it's welcome. Plus I liked the voice acting in the game, nothing but Brits ::cool
