The Great Pizza Debate!

I had a meat feast deep dish last night its epic. I enjoy those calzones that were mentioned have a place in town called elsies woodfired pizza they stick everything in the oven with the wood blocks.

White Pizza ? How should Interpret this.
Also never heard of polish Pizza but sound interesting.

White pizza has a garlic sauce instead of a tomato sauce.

I think I posted this before but I look more for certain elements of a pizza that I would like rather than a particular kind.

Major Pluses would be:

Pan Pizza - I enjoy the greasy fragrant savory oil on it. At least that's how I see it here. I don't know if it's different in another country.
Lots of Mozarella Cheese - I really like melted mozarella cheese that just stretches when you pull a slice and its taste even if it's just commercial mozarella. I get wary if it says they mix it with other cheeses and wonder if they're actually doing it to improve the taste (so they say) or just to cut costs for a bigger profit.
Mushrooms - I love Pizza mushrooms, even the common Agaricus Bisporus you get from a can but I'll definitely appreciate it more if it's fresh or maybe use another edible and delicious species.
Bacon - I prefer bacon in pizza more than pepperoni.

Minor Plus:
Garlic and/or Onions
Pepperoni or Salami
Parsley Bits
Calzone

Pineapple pizza is my favorite
then Pizza Diavolo is it called and well regular Salami Pizza.

Not gonna pretend it's gourmet, but where I live the supermarket chain Wegmans sells pizza (and I don't mean frozen pizza, although they do got that obviously, I mean proper pizzas that you order that they bake in-store for you to pick up and either eat there or take home) and one of their specialty pies is a buffalo chicken pizza and it is fuckin top-tier in terms of take out pizza as far as I'm concerned.

Just look at this shit, pieces of chicken coated in buffalo sauce, bleu cheese dressing for the sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

I ain't saying 'Yeah this is the best pizza ever made' but it (and honestly any of Wegmans pizzas) basically clears anything from the big chains here in the US. And our local pizza place in town sucks shit so it also is better than my local spot in my town of 4000 friggin people.

Y'all wanna know a pizza that is surprisingly good? At Target they got a spinach and goat cheese frozen pizza and like it was probably the best frozen pizza I've ever had in my life. Yeah sure kinda expensive at $6.99 but it was also really damn high quality.

One of my, if not my favorite, pizzas is a thin-crust pizza with garlic Alfredo sauce, topped with onions and habaneros, and covered in mozzarella, ricotta, and pepper jack cheese....

It's freaking good....

I can't find an image of said pizza, but this is a pretty close approximation of one.
A local place makes them, and they're damn good.

As for pineapple on pizza... eh, I don't like it and won't eat it, as I just don't like pineapple to begin with. But I'm not so picky that I can't just pick it off and put them where they belong... in the trash. Honestly, if you like pineapple on pizza, it doesn't bother me, I'm not the one eating it.

Like anchovies... thanks, but fuck no.... If you like them, have at it.

Heresy to most people I talk to, but for me it's got to be the crap chilled or frozen cheese & tomato ones. I'm not even talking name brands, just budget store brand. Named brands, takeouts or restaurant pizzas? I never enjoy them. Not to the extent I enjoy the absolute bottom of the barrel ones anyway. Thin base, barely there tomato sauce, with the cheapest cheese that's been allocated to the bare minimum? That's the pizza for me.

I like my local pizza joint very much, we have something called the aussie which is pretty much thick base with ham, bacon, egg, onion etc.

But the best pizza I ever had was in Naples, a place called OWAP. There I had a 4 cheese thin base pizza which had buffalo blue cheese, smoked mozzarella, provolone del monaco and a type of cream. This paired with a sor pompeo beer seated at the bench watching an absolute unit pump out pizzas by hand.

Some homemade pies for great justice ;D Handkneaded dough, handmade (sometimes hot) sauce, handchopped mushrooms, peppers, cheese etc

My first pizzas looked like plywood (some youtubers aren’t very honest and swap in photos of finished dishes lol), and they were just as hard to bite. But at least they tasted somewhat good. Over time, though, I discovered more honest "teachers" and eventually became more or less satisfied with the results. Then I discovered Detroit-style pizza, which is actually perfect for beginners because you don’t have to bother stretching it out or worry that it’ll come out in weird shape or tear.

What about Ukrainian pizza? :) When times were better, there was a joke going around here that pizza is one of Ukraine’s national dishes - you could enjoy it in every city and countryside

when I visit Sweden the most popular pizza is pizza with kebab on top and some sauce that is close to garlic sauce and also to have fries is common too, so that's my favourite pizza actually
they also have some special salad at the side you can put there on top too which I never saw outside of Sweden which is sad

Just pepperoni from a local pizza place. I used to like the bacon and while it’s still good, I can’t eat as much as I used to. I like mushrooms and onions as well.
