Don't you think they were sublime?

For some reasons ads on 2000 where a bit weird! And some of them still weird!

I mean GBA made as a handheld console inspired from a man played with his calucator in a train,in same wagon with one of Nintendo staff(sorry forget his names)
That doesnt mean you should make this weird adds!

When they take their first bite they would throw GBA in water!

I think I remember the fifth one, I believe my parents got something to say about that!
But I wasn't into games yet, so I probably only saw it in some magazine.

Thank for sharing, some it's cool, some it's not ::omgdoom But they sure don't go unnoticed, and that's what advertisment is for!

Have you ever dare to talk about GBA in front of them?

Hmm IDK the situation but when Nintendo already developed Game & Watch, Gameboy and Gameboy Color way before IDK why they would need inspiration from it when also video games on digital watch was a big deal in the whole world and thus there were tons of handheld video games. I mean handleheld gaming was not a new thing around the era GBA was released nor was its popularity lost or something.

I had no idea they were advertising it like THAT.

I honestly don't get it, though -- I know that kids immediately see what grown-ups consider cool as such, but my parents would have NEVER bought me a product advertised like that, nor would have many others I knew growing up.

I remember seeing some very cute ads at Club Nintendo (a game magazine from Latam), they were just paper cutouts of some game characters placed over random people on scenes like ice hiking with the slogan "¿Quién eres?/Who are you?"
My favourites were the Fire Emblem and Mario & Luigi ones, sadly I couldn´t find them.
ing that was so good, he didn't even open his parachute?
Minish Cap imo

Considering how popular the Game Boy line always was, those ads clearly didn't hurt. We've been trained to ignore ads from birth because they're basically pollution, so doing something wild to get your attention probably does work.

Well in fact so many adds made to be intersting but turn to some sort of show unrelated to content!

I have a personal mission to not buy products or stop buying them because of their BS ads. The BS of "there is no such thing as bad advertising" clearly never included people like me!!!! lol

It's not just nostalgia, video game advertising was so much better back then. I rarely, if ever, even see commercials for video games anymore.
I see ads on social media a lot like some random OnlyFans woman and their "Switch or me or both? Which one you can handle?" BS lolol.
