The Flintstones game based on the 1994 live-action The Flintstones film. Released as a Sega Channel exclusive, available to North American consumers for a brief period of time. It's unrelated to the identically named release by Taito, which is based on the cartoon instead of the movie. Credits: Frank Cifaldi of the Video Game History Foundation

Honestly, I haven't had the chance to play this game much on either the SNES or Genesis versions, but I'm not missing out on much, although I don't know if I ever got to see the 1994 live-action Flintstones movie, but it's mediocre in itself and that is reflected in the mixed to negative reception of the movie like 5/10 on IMDb per example.
But.. but, the move has John Goodman & Rick Moranis lol

I thought the movie was ok as for the games...played the Snes one, I gave up on Bedrock 1, you all know it...the baby catching level, wtf. silly level spike.

edit: also rare Nelson, long descriptive post, gotta love it. cheers.

I personally liked the 1994 live action movie, but I never got to play this game here or on SNES, I did grow up with the other Flintstones game on Mega Drive by Taito I say that one is pretty good, revisiting it I think it still holds up.
I understand you, friend, although I played the Flintstones games on the FC/NES and the MD/GEN one, and they look good.

.bin? Shouldn't it be .md or .smd? Does this work on original hardware via Everdrive?
I mean, it's not uncommon for some Genesis ROMs to have a ".bin" extension. I'm sure this would work fine on real hardware.

Idk about real hardware but .bin works on emulators just fine, in fact I personally convert every MD Rom for my personal collection to .bin using this tool https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/383/ and I have a huge collection, I remember some of the older emulators had issues recognizing .smd and .md for some reason so that's when I started going full on .bin but nowadays I doubt it matters.

I wouldn't really call this a "prototype" as this version is complete. I beat it alongside the SNES version.

Anyway, this version is almost identical to the Super Nintendo game—just with slightly worse graphics and missing graphical effects like the heat effect in the Volcano stage or the sun beams in the forest stage.

Nice to see that this Sega Channel exclusive title has been preserved.
