Metroid Prime 4 has me concerned. On the one hand, Biking around the world looks cool. On the other hand, it looks like they're trying for an open world Metroid? That wide open desert gives me big open world vibes (it reminds me of the open desert in Jak 3, actually). If that turns out to be the case, I don't know. Open world Metroid sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Combine that with the Psychic abilities, which seem to slow the game's pacing, and I'm left in much doubt about the game's quality.
One of the people streaming the direct mentioned the game looks rushed, and I can't help but agree somewhat. Considering its turbulent development cycle (Nintendo had to publicly announce development was going poorly and switched development to Retro), I wonder if the team is strapped for ideas. However, Metroid Prime and Dread were able to deliver in a big way despite their respective horror shows of development, so I'm at least a little optimistic about Beyond.
