Ever had something you really wanted to do, but had to give up on?

I really wanted to join a football team when I was nine, but I kinda sucked at it.

Eventually, I got tired of being shipped around locations and coaches like a piece of unwanted mail and told my dad to pull me out of the club.

It didn't really sting because I wasn't even having fun, but it did give me my very first taste of "maybe you just aren't good enough for some things" — a lesson as valuable as it was sucky.
