The English fan translation of Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (3DS) is finally out!

Very cool. Still makes you wonder what Bandai was thinking with the Appmon franchise, since it's kind of like the Blazblue of Digimon for no reason, and just as destined to go absolutely nowhere by design.

do you know that is the chksum for the needed rom. also i was just about the write the same post

Edit got it to work and anyone wondering the chksum needed is

I kinda know that Blazblue is a fighting game (think I've played it a bit on 3ds), is this Digimon title also a fighting game and not a rpg?

Looks kind of cool. I'll probably take the time to patch the rom myself at some point, but right now it's a pain to try and get a decrypted rom for patching right now lmao
i found the encrypted one (took me some time thought) but i dont know how to Decrypt it for patching

Edit: got it to work

Nice work! Appmon was an interesting experiment. I suppose Bandai wanted to modernise Digimon for the smartphone era, but it ended up underperforming commercially.

Ah, the weird Digimon season that not even Agumon cameo save it for end up nowhere

At least they tried to do something new

Mom, I'm on TV! (I'm the leader behind this fan translation.)

Appmon is one of those things that were mass hated when they were new, then rediscovered by the masses years later as "actually great", but too little, too late, it's already dead, Jim.

Personally, I've been a fan of the concept and the execution since day one, and have always thought that all the haters just hate fun in general. It was loudly overhated and bashed by people who didn't even try to give it a chance and based their negativity on hearsay and the fact that the monsters in it are all new, therefore it's "guaranteed to be bad". No Agumon is unbearable!

Quite a typical situation for Digimon, where nothing but a couple of classic seasons is taken serious by the masses, and as for the actual "fans", they don't simply not care, no no no, they hate and despise the majority of their "favorite" franchise with burning passion. Many installments of the series suffer this exact fate.

But in fact, the Appmon TV show is as good as Digimon shows get. The right balance of silly, epic, deep, fun and dark.

As for this game, it's not tied to the show much, and it's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's a charming little game nonetheless. Its vibes can be described as "Yo-kai Watch meets Mega Man Battle Network + Star Force". Gameplay-wise it's a unique deck-builder RPG. There's fun to be had with it.

I wanted to translate it out of love for this awesome part of Digimon history, so I did exactly that. Not alone, mind you, all the people who worked on this with me are listed in the credits.

first thank you so much . you and your team did a great work just like you i haven't watched the show myself, but i like the idea of having a digimon game that works like the usual ones (same style as pokemon) .by the does your name or profile pic has to do with starforce megaman?

I wouldn't say this game is like Pokemon. Its core gameplay is quite different. And no, my username has to do with my real name, and my pic features a Digimon character from a different series.

iam talking about the usual digimon games and how they are like pokemon and how this one is different from them (thats what i like about it) . ididnt mean to ask abut your real name (i think its not right to do so on the internet) its just i got curious since your acc name and pic look like geo from megaman starforce (my favorite magaman series)

Man, trying to find the correct version of the game has been quite the struggle. Will try later as it seems to not be available on most places.

I assure you the patcher expects the most common and easily found version of the ROM that also happens to be the correct clean dump of the cartridge. Its hash is in the readme so you can verify your file against it.
