my first elder scrolls game was oblivion back on the ps3. i spent most of my time with the game using dawnfang/duskfang because it would recharge fully every time it switched versions. i think it looks pretty cool even if the shape isn't very sword-like.

did anyone play oblivion remaster? i didn't like it very much :(

Edit: actually upon further consideration I actually like Eltrobrand from Morrowind more.

Just because of the very specific hidden way you have to go out of your way to get it.

I kinda miss the staves and polearms in Morrowind, even if the staves really weren't that good. Steel(-tipped) staff and glass halberd were pretty cool.

I also have a soft spot for the steel shortsword in Oblivion. I like that triquetra symbol on the crossguard, and that it has a notable crossguard compared to the steel longsword's stubby one. The Akaviri katana is also pretty cool, I like the colors and scabbard patterns.

And it's hard to go wrong with the daggers in Skyrim. I'd include the glass one from Morrowind here, but only five pictures are allowed, sooooo...

Maybe it's just because I never get too far in any of these games, but the Daedric weapons really don't do it for me. A little too tacticool and (literally) edgy for my tastes, but that's just me. I kinda prefer the ebony weapons as a top-tier thing, and I am glad Skyrim lets you upgrade weapons to be as powerful as higher tiers. *shrugs*

Kahjiit fists. My favourite playthrough of an Elder Scrolls game was playing Oblivion as a punching Kahjiit with no weapon.

I skew towards using bows but I don't think I have a favorite.

The ebony dagger you can start Daggerfall with. Should you use it? No, you have to play the game like it was made for the Nintendo DS if you use melee. Play as a mage But it's neat.

I also like the bow that just kills the sun in Skyrimjob. Can't remember if it's even any good.

It's so hidden that it's more of a cheat-ish easter egg. I mean goldbrand was already a pretty op longsword.

I wish spears were more of a thing in elder scrolls games. Morrowind tried with them but all the cool weapons are swords..
I do remember being pretty enamored with daedric dai-katanas as a kid. I mean it's a long ass demon katana, how cool is that? I guess keening and sunder are pretty darn cool just for lore reasons.

The Ebony Dai-Katana. Now that's something I'm willing to be a beach.
