yeah I watched Goati_ play it a few days ago, pretty bad but not surprising. I was already familiar with the whole Kai Magazine situation.
I have nothing really to add other than to tell everyone to go watch Goati_'s streams, he's been trying to complete every Mega Drive game for over 10 years now and he's currently on Populous.
