Though, it would be weird to be here if you liked modern AAA games, I suppose.

The last new modern game I bought was Silent Hill 2 remake. The next will be Fatal Frame 2 Remake. I'm pretty sure it will be the only one this year. Get fed up with console gaming, spend a bunch of money in 2023 to build a decent gaming rig, use it primarily to play old console games.

Thanks! I lterally just googled "retro gamer forum" because retro is 98% of what I play, and I love talking about this stuff. I just hate trying to use social media to do it. (or using that stuff in general) I'd be willing to take even a generic thirteen inch CRT at this point if it was close, hell, that was the size of the very first TV I ever bought with my own money, right after I used my first paycheck ever to buy a Dreamcast.

I mainly use 4chan's retro gaming board, /vr/, (been on it since it went live), but a lot of it tends to get repetitive and tbh, it's full of the "wonderfully combative mindset" that's oh so popular on 4chan

I've never been a member of a video game forum before (well, Sega-16, but that kind of presented it's own kettle of worms) and being here just feels cozy

My CRT is a decently sized Sanyo that I got at the Goodwill that I'd later work at around 2009, even came with the remote

I had to abandon this 32" Trinitron years ago since it weighed probably over 200kg and I had no hand truck to move it down several levels of stairs - great model though if you can find one
