It is found in virtually every civilization that has ever existed across the entire planet. A food that satiates peasants and kings alike. A true pillar of humanity in all its leavened glory, with near-endless variety.

The humble pretzel will always take the crown for me.
Fresh out of the oven, put some salt and butter on that thing and you're holding perfection in your hands.

A fresh, crunchy Baguette takes a close second though.

I don't eat that much bread, but I love me some Turkish bread. Store bought, although I wonder how difficult it would be to make myself?

Cut off like a third of it, cut that into slices, pop it in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp up and spread your jam of choice on top. I like blackberry jam, myself

I think you've really gotta give it up to the French when it comes bread. Everything they've done with it is almost always incredible, and it's all thanks to when they came up with brioche; easily the king of breads in my book.
