What was your first gamepad to use in an emulator? And which ones are the best?

8BitDo sn30 Pro controller is the best one for emulators. Has a shape of a Super Nintendo controller with two analog sticks in the center and 4 shoulder triggers (L, R, RT, LT)
It doesn't have a "Home" button, how do you use it on Android TV?

I play everything with such a gamepad that absolutely doesn't have pressure sensitive buttons because I hate those that ruins my racing video game experience due to you gotta keep pushing the button all the way down. I got used to this shape a lot.

Technically the best gamepad I used is XBOX 360 gamepad especially because of its analog trigger buttons that makes it better when you drive cars in games, however I disliked the way how these buttons works. I got used to bash gas button to adjust speed of cars in my own "experienced way" lolol. But then XBOX 360 gamepad makes my hand start to suffer in pain trying to hold it weirdly but it's probably because I broke my right hand several times but IDK, it make my hand muscles in pain after like 1 hour of usage. I'm so comfortable with the PS2 gamepad shaped ones though. I cannot also deny I felt the similar discomfort playing Sega Genesis for years even before I broke my hand and its gamepad was very bad regarding playing games for long time without hurting your hand. I had to take a break every 2 hours or so, but I can play for days with PS2 gamepad shaped ones just fine even during my right hand was broken again lolol.

The best joystick I've ever used is the Nintendo 64, there's none like it.
I know exactly what you mean

I must admit that this was the PS1 DualShock/2 type wired controller that I played on the PC in 2013 too.
Dude I forgot PS1 also had a model that has analogs!!! My brain forgets this fact because I played my PS1 without a gamepad that has analogs so my personal memories overrides my factful memories lol.

If I could, I'd sleep with the Nintendo 64 controller, haha! 😁

I didn't think it was worth that much! I think a PS4 joystick is worth less.

This, and it was horribleView attachment 95796
We have one in the other room, I thought it was pretty rad!

You know, aside from the thumbsticks not being very good, and the buttons wearing out and becoming unresponsive. It was on the level of the Logitech gamepads in my experience.
