People need to take the drama either to the DMs or go back to whatever echo chamber they came from. I'm here for old games and goofiness, not a bunch of drama.

And a lot of the people who want to start drama for shits and giggles need to remember that Spike has no obligation to keep this site going.

Aggravate him enough, and he might very well one day say "Fuck it" and turn the server off.
Yes, there are other places they could go to start their nonsense, but I highly doubt any other site will be as laid back as this one. And you would get instantly banned.

I think a lot of it unfortunately boils down to the fact that it is the internet after all, unfortunately.

It's entirely possible to have a nuanced and respectful conversation and discussion about gender in games (I don't know the context of what sparked this initially so just speaking from experience)--I did an essay for university on Gum's representation and character in the Jet Set Radio games, so it's not like it's impossible to talk about the way in which women in games are portrayed, or how even gender roles are used or presented in certain ways.

Of course with more fanatical groups popping up in the gaming space regarding "wokeness" (a silly concept at it is), it becomes much harder to have proper dialogue about representation in games on a bigger forum such as Twitter or the like, it's mostly better off in smaller places like this where people will be respectful of each other for the most part.
