Version 1.5.1 Redux + Retranslation

UPDATE:

•Retranslated dialogue
•Faithful to original translation

Explanation for retranslation; The main goal of the translation is to be faithful to the original script, making sure that I didn’t change up the meaning of anything. Terrangimas story is outstanding, but suffers from lack of emotion due to being a straight forward translation from the Japanese version. The idea isn’t to change every line. I personally love certain NPCs due to their random phrases. Examples would be “Woo Hoo! The hot couple!” “You can’t live the same life twice, don’t waste it!” “A ghost, a toast, a roast. Bring ‘em on!” These lines bring in a charm to Terranigma not found in other games, so I made sure to keep this iconic lines. The next step for the translation is to fully fix the spacing issue from the 8X16 font and fill out more text box.

• This uses Redux as a base for balancing. Bosses are increased accordingly where they can KO you in 2-5 hits. You must learn attack patterns and heal at good opportunities. Has been fully tested. Final boss scales between level 30-32.

Of course!my main suggestion would be when getting new weapons or armor, look at the mirror and compare what you have. Bonuses don’t show unless you look in your mirror, I want to change it where it shows in your inventory and in shop but I’m not skilled yet to make this happen.

Redux Complete now out! All changes are included in shop & inventory descriptions ;) as well as minor retranslation.

I will be doing a full retranslation. Redux is complete besides the translation. To explain a retranslation was never in mind for Redux, so this current version is what I envisioned AND MORE. So enjoy the complete version of what I originally had plan.

I really need to give this game another chance. I gave up after trying to find something and couldn't for the life of me figure out where I had to go next (vague I know, but its been a couple years now). I did enjoy stumbling upon the Quintet studio and talking to all the developers and staff

Other than that I really enjoyed how different and odd this game is. Not odd in a Earthbound way, and I can't really explain it, but it definitely has a vibe that no other game has, which makes me want to complete the game and see where it all goes.
Also the music is ace!

Try it out with Redux. The item you’re referring to is more than likely the Speed Shoes. It’s one of the common items people, including me get stuck on. I’ve added item hints to NPC dialogue, so I’m sure this time around you’ll find it.

to come back to this, I’ve started my own retranslation. you’ll be happy with this update. Will be the last one for a while.
