PS1 tekken 1 or tekken 2?

If your goal is to just play through all of em you might as well start with 1. It's just a fighting game after all so an arcade run will take like 30-60 minutes of your time at most. Tekken 1 is a cute little game but it's certainly not one that holds a candle to Tekken 2 imo. Like many have already said, Tekken 3 is a massive step up in general and really lays the foundation for what Tekken would become.

But again, I recommend just playin all of em at least once.

Tekken 3 makes both of them look like the first virtua fighter. I did enjoy tekken 2 growing up but 3 is by far the one i play most now.

I'd agree with others and start at the beginning to see how the games evolved. It's quite an interesting journey to see things that have literally been there since the beginning and how things improved over time.

Of the two, I always recommend Tekken 2.
The first, although very enjoyable, is quite rough and may not appeal to many people.
Tekken 3, of course, remains the best on PS1.

i always try to play games in order of release on the console
but i'd assume the 3rd one has the most improvements
