Does anyone still actively play TF2? I used to play religiously over a decade ago, then only sporadically since then.
I reinstalled the game kast night and had a pretty good time. There doesn't seem to be as much of a hacker problem as it's had the past few years, but maybe I just didn't notice any.

While I had a bunch of fun yesterday I'm clearly insanely rusty, and I assume many people have just kept playing non-stop for the decade+ I didn't, because there were some god gamers doing some pretty wild stuff.
I always liked playing Soldier the most but now I struggle doing a regular rocket jump...

Y E S !

Although I got to be honest TF2s better years are behind it. I only play on community servers because casual mode, the replacement of Quick play, feels too slow to que and reque to maps I want to play on. Community servers aren't the best because they replay a lot of the same maps. At least the player base is still at large here in the U.S.

When I queued casual last night I got games immediately, though not all of them were full. I checked out a community server like the old days but I think there were friendlies playing on it so I didn't want to break any rules, so back to the casual queue I went.

I lurk in a casual 2Fort CTF server when I have serviceable and stable internet access.

Casual isn't bad as it is more populated than community servers. The problem is that overtime you feel the wait times compared to hoping on community. That and casual doesn't have team scramble as a vote option. A lot of community servers have that and they're better for it in my opinion. Also what class is your favorite? Do you like solider?

I play it on occasion. Been watching it as long as I can literally remember.
Half the reason I GOT this laptop was to finally experience it.. I love it! Engineer main for life!

Soldier has historically been my favorite, yeah.
I tried for years to get good with the Degreaser Axtinguisher combo for Pyro, but I could never get it down right. Though I remember liking most classes, with Heavy being the one I tend to suck at the most, because I just feel like a giant target unless I play with a pocket medic.

Engineer is sick. He's my favorite character, but I'm terrible at the actual class lol, I'm WAY too slow with building and maintaining my things.

I feel as if I should add that I've never really been good at WM1 and several of my free contracts are incomplete.

I tried to get into the game once. I quit because I kept getting killed by an obvious aimbot with the n-slur in its name.

Thankfully those days are over... for now. I'm not too comfortable yet because I had to deal with those bots from years. However I can tell you that as of now the bots are completely gone.

lately been playing some community servers with custom game modes but i'm very on and off with it in general after about 15 years. really looking forward to the proper steam release of the mod Team Fortress 2 Classic that scales things back a bit and turns the game in a bit of a different direction with things like the return of Civilian or some beta weapons and a few more out there ideas like a mode with 4 teams.
