TCL taking over Sony's TV business in 2027

Under the proposed structure, TCL would hold 51% and Sony 49% of the new company, which is expected to oversee product development, design, manufacturing, sales, logistics and customer service for Sony-branded TVs and home audio equipment worldwide, with operations targeted to begin in April 2027
