Ooh, I'm relatively new to this city and just found out there's a Trader Joe's here. Always wanted to try one, but the nearest one was like four hours away where we last lived. x) I think you've given me a kick in the seat to finally give it a try, I hear they have lotsa good stuff there. Also, relating to what was said earlier in the topic, do you know if their cookie butter tastes like Biscoff spread at all? :9
As ridiculous as this sounds, I just realized from some quick research that Biscoff is just a name-brand Speculoos. (Never had them, so couldn't compare.) So yes, it's basically the same thing, and the TJ Speculoos cookies are probably not much different from Biscoff. But given that it's TJ, they might have upped their game on the recipe, as they do with some products, so you'll want to try it yourself.

I'd much rather have a soft cookie than a hard one.
Ultimately, if you want the best cookies, you have to cook them yourself and eat them fresh out of the oven. Store bought can be good, but will lack the texture, even if you buy "soft" ones. Bakery ones are also great, but you might not get them still warm. The only downside to baking yourself is that not everyone does it perfectly, so you might have some hard edges if you didn't follow directions exactly as you should. (And variations in ovens can make that a bit more challenging.)
yesss my oven works at like two times the heat it should so I usually let things half the time they should be in the oven and its always perfectly timed. And yes, I encourage yall to bake the cookies yourself 'cause the warmth of a cookie just out of the oven is heavenly!
Hmm. I've ever had a warm one straight from the oven. Might try it one day.
