Some consoles had prefixes/suffixes used by game companies for games on that consoles (usually exclusive games).
In example: Super for SNES/SFC, GB for GB/GBC, Advance for GBA, DS for DS, 3D for 3DS, Portable for PSP and, in this case, 64 for Nintendo 64.
Around 1/3 of N64 games have a 64 in the title. So talk about any N64 64 game that you like or dislike.
But attach a photo of the cover art of the game for that all of us can see the 64 in all their splendor (Also this includes games with a 64 in one region but the other not. I.e.: Quest 64 in the US is Holy Magic Century in Europe, in that case attach a photo of the game using the 64 in the title)

I'll start with a classic, so nobody's here can use it hehehe

Super Mario 64, timeless platformer that even today would hang really well. Fun secured with this one.

Doom 64 is a somewhat infamous example, as despite being a new original Doom game, it was overlooked in it's time due to the name confusing people into believing it was just another port of the PC original, of which there were many. It's working title was "Doom: The Absolution" but it was changed to Doom 64 before release. A sequel would be planned reusing the Absolution title, but was cancelled.

These days, it's since been rediscovered and enjoys a lot more love in the Doom fandom.

Nah,I got it. How about, Expand Dong 46! That game's not controversial at all! What with everyone hating on it for having to many collectibles.I understand how it could be exhausting, especially since the last Golden Banana is a goddamned timed slot machine) but everything still plays really well and exploring the levels is still fun.

And surprisingly, this isn't a nostalgia goggles thing. I've actually ended up liking this game more as I got older than I ever did as a kid, since levels I used to hate (like Frantic Factory or Gloomy Gaelleon) I ended up kinda vibing with. Still, that tag mod helps a lot, and really goes to show this game only requires a few tweaks to be stellar. Hopefully once N64 pc ports start becoming easier, DK64 gets one. Would love for an mariocoopdx level deal for this or Banjo Tooie.

I despise every n64 title except ogre battle 64 ( fukk, I already lost), sin and punishment, and bangaioh.. look, I know it made a lot of people happy just like the sega saturn made me happy, but the n64 just made me miserable... too each their own, its just my opinion..

I like the idea of that some golden bananas can be collected by completing the barrel minigames (But some minigames are a bit shit to complete like Beaver Bother)

Do you don't like the games, the (more than questionable) controller or how?

mostly the games, there wasnt a lot of great 3rd party games on it.. but yeah that controller blew my mind at the time.. I was a big fan of jrpgs/ trpgs, fighters and shmups which the n64 had almost none of.. plus I played mostly mario 64 and mortal kombat 4 and I didnt enjoy them.. plus just in general 3D games then just were kinda wonky compared to 2D games.. I do acknowledge it had some great racing games.. those were fun.. but the only ones I really like are the ones I mentioned earlier.. even starfox 64 I feel is weaker than the Panzer Dragoon games

The SNES saw a handful of release of Super Robot Wars titles but the N64 only has one entry.View attachment 145954
That's because they Banpresto saw what they could on the PS1 and it positively mogged the N64, so they left that shit in the dust.
Better A:
Or better B:

Mega Man 64

or as it's known on the Playstation, Mega Man Legends. Still funny that they just ditched the "Legends" part of the title just to add 64 on it, even though this gives the implication that it's the sixty-fourth Classic Mega Man game lol. The Japanese version kept the Rockman Dash name across both the PS1 and N64 versions, so this was definitely Capcom USA's decision.
Despite that, Mega Man 64 is a fun time, though obviously the PS1 version is superior

Came here just to say that.

One of only five N64 games I have ever beaten -- and a really great one at that, too!

Right, like how Megaman X implies it's the tenth game in the series. They used Roman numerals for the Gameboy games, you can't say this didn't confuse anyone until X2 and 3 came out.

Doom 64 - The best of the classic Doom games. I love it more than original and II. The darker atmosphere, the small elements of survival horror, and everything begin re-designed from the ground up, makes it the best looking of the classic Doom games. There are even some early usage of scripted sequences. Amazing back then, and for an early N64 title. What's amazing is that this game can be bought on any modern system now.

I remember that the first time i saw that i thought that was a Hamtaro game
I never knew about the until I happened to find the rom on another site to suggest it be uploaded to The Repo on here back in late 2024.

@MDGeistsfavMC5song Oh you do?
