Back in the days I use to play this game with friends. It is quite simple and easy to pick up.
Here's a description:

Talisman is an adventure board game set in a high fantasy medieval world. Players have 14 characters to choose from all based on role playing archetypes, such as heroes, wizards, villains, thieves, monsters, etc. The game makes players feel they are traveling the world to find equipment, weapons, ancient relics, and companions that will help them on their quest to acquire the Crown of Command. Along the way they visit various locales in the worlds, battle each other and fantastic creatures to make their way to the top.

Goal of the game:

Each player is trying to move from the outer world and ultimately to the inner world. Players wander the outer, middle, and inner worlds trying to acquire equipment, weapons, and companions. They will also improve statistics with equipment, companions, and encounters and battles with fantasy creatures and each other. Once they complete a Talisman quest, players will enter the inner world and face its challenges to finally reach the Portal of Power to claim the Crown of Command. Then the other players must race to stop this player before he eventually kills them all with the Command spell.

My all-time favorite board game! I have 4th edition and all the expansions... and the classic 2nd edition with all the expansions (except Dragons)

Also enjoy the steam version, great for playing against the computer at my leisure

I have the PC version of 4th edition, its a very fun game, especially with all the expansions on. I really like the character variety.

There was also a single player version Talisman: Orgins, fosused on quests, which could take from 15-60 minutes, but now unfortunately delisted. Lucky for me I've got a mobile version, so still can enjoy it.

I'd also highly recommend checking out Mage Knight (that's the board game, not the minis skirmish game). A lot harder to pick up than Talisman - much more complex ruleset to learn - but *very* worth it.

I've just checked today and unfortunately my Talisman Origins is compatible with my Android version 👎🏻, only a black screen and sound.

Mage Knight would be a nice option, but unfortunately there's nobody to play with.
On this note there's a pc game quite similar, called Paladin's Oath, I might have a go with this.
