Hi, I'm currently trying to install Tales of Innocence R's English Patched ROM from this site onto my Vita. It says that the Vita has to be hacked and have Nonpdrm and repatch which mine does, and then the RGT site for Vita Console installation says that the zip file has to be extracted into the ux:0 folder and then refresh the Live Area. When I refresh the live area, though, it only shows that Innocence is unpatched. Does anyone happen to know the exact steps? Immediately after you download the file, what exactly do you do after unzipping it? Does both folders go in ux:0 or 1?

Specifically because this file is already patched, I had trouble finding directions for a patched rom. The download comes with two folders, a repatch and an app folder. The app folder seems to be fine to get the Japanese version but copying the repatch folder doesn't give me a game in the Live Area.

Have you tried playing the game yet? The bubble will still show up in japanese, but if you did everything correctly the game should be translated.

Anyways, it seems you have all the prerequisites in place (make sure you do have the repatch plugin), copy the RePatch folder contents of the game from your PC to the RePatch folder on your Vita (Ux:0) in Vita Shell.

Also the game itself goes to the ux:0 app folder.

Also, what firmware version are you on? Ages ago repatch would only work up to 3.68 I think? Not sure if that holds true today.

Thank you for replying.

Okay, so, I had the Japanese version on my Vita earlier and started it up then deleted it cause I assumed I did something wrong given it was still in Japanese. I tried to download the game from Pkgj and every time the game tries to install it just says that an error has occurred which is very odd and it can't even be deleted cause the console just says that the Innocence R file is corrupt.

My config.txt says that repatch is on my vita (It says repatch.skrx, or something like that) however if I try to go to Autoplugin it actually says that the database is corrupt and restarts the console which is also quite odd.

I'm on version 3.65 and okay I didn't copy the repatch folder contents to a folder of the same name on my Vita, I had to make one just now. Hopefully that solves the issue.

EDIT: That didn't seem to work, of course. =_=

I don't have a vita to test this on but, how about you try doing everything from scratch (assuming it won't interfere with other games somehow).

No problem! Okay, so... let's try doing it all from scratch. I am only going to assume your Vita is on custom firmware and you got vita shell. I also only know how to do this using a PC, through a FTP client such as filezilla. Since autoplugin is returning an error, we're just not gonna use it.

Repatch
1 - Download repatch: https://github.com/dots-tb/rePatch-reDux0
2 - Open vitashell and press SELECT to start the FTP mode.
3 - Open filezilla or similar and connect to the address showing on the vita, such as ftp://000.000.0.00:0000
4 - Copy repatch.skprx to the ur0:/tai folder. (There's a chance your tai folder is in ux0, but it's usually in ur0)
5 - Open config.txt that's in the same folder, make sure that below *Kernel there's a line like this: ur0:tai/repatch.skprx (ux0 if it's in the other folder) and save changes.
6 - Reboot your vita and Repatch should be working.

Game/Patch
1 - You said you got your game from here, so you will end up with an "app" and "repatch" folders. App is the game itself, and repatch is just the patch, you need both. Inside those folders you will have another folder called "PCSG00009".
2 - Open vitashell and press SELECT to start the FTP mode.
3 - Open filezilla or similar and connect to the address showing on the vita, such as ftp://000.000.0.00:0000
4 - Make sure ux0 has an "app" and a "repatch" folder, if not, just create those. Now copy the "PCSG00009" folder inside each folder on your pc to the equivalent in ux0.
5 - Refresh your live area and you should be set.

Hope this works!

Oh my god! Thank you so much! It worked!!! I think my issue before was that I didn't have a repatch folder and I didn't know you had to keep both files of the game. I thought you only need the repatch one in the app folder. I used WinSCP for this instead of filezilla but it worked out just fine. Thank you so much for your help!

Awesome! I am glad you got it to work! I think you probably ended up doing that because the size of both folders are quite similar so I see it can be confusing, but usually the patch is way smaller.

I am actually about 8 hours in the game myself and having a blast. Like it way better than Tales of Hearts R. Anyway, hope you end up enjoying it too!
