Surreal movie recommendations?

This movie still pops into my head every now and again when I least expect it.

Takeshis' (2005) and Glory To The Filmmaker (2007) (both directed by and starring Takeshi Kitano) are both something I would reccomend, though they are more on the surreal comedy side than surreal horror if that makes sense.

uh here's some i usually don't see recommended because they aren't THE BEST but are very very interesting

Zardoz // Man makes infinite money and a studio lets him do whatever he wants, so he made one of the most bizarre acid-sci-fi (?) films of all time. It's fire despite what the haters say (and is super confusing at times).

Brazil (DIRECTORS CUT ONLY) // surreal future hell that, imo, perfectly predicted how fucking stupid the future is. Directed by Monty Python alum.

Spice World // i am not joking it is experimental as fuck it's just strange non-sequitors for 90 minutes

The Visitor/Stridilum // buckwild 70s italian movie starring Lance Hendrickson and a swearing child, insanely good cinematography that punches way way way far above it's weight

SHE IS CONAN // Conan but lesbians and shot like a jorodowski movie. One of the prettiest films i've ever seen get the bluray rip if you can.

The 5000 Fingers of Dr. Tewilliker // Dr. Suess directed one (1) movie and then they never let him direct again, most likely because this movie is a NIGHTMARE

Cool World // Brad Pitt is the don't fuck that cartoon police, directed by Ralph Bakshi and produced by someone Ralph Bakshi tried to punch during production.

The Peanut Butter Soloution // actual horror movie for children, mention within earshot of a millenial canadian to cause flashbacks

Maximum Overdrive // Stephen King directed one movie and also does not remember it because he was on so much cocaine (according to Stephen King). Every machine starts killing humans. Soundtrack by AC/DC.

Megalopolis // Francis Ford Coppala starts writing a script directly after Apocalypse Now and finally releases it in 2024 almost 50 years later and it is one of the most surreal confusing things I've ever seen and NEEDS to be witnessed.

God Told Me To // Larry Cohen, director of blacksploitation legends, makes a movie about not!Columbo finding out he's jesus 2 or something?

Rich Hall's Vanishing America // Rich Hall realizes he is owed his Wilt Chamberlain signed basketball from the Junior Seed Growers of America and goes on a cross country journey to get what's owed

I would agree with City of Lost Children and Six String Samurai. I would also recommend Shaolin Soccer and The Crippled Masters if you want some insane martial arts.
