TBF he looks waaaaay better in the actual game.

I'm also not a huge fan of Dante's style in 5. I understand they wanted him to have a more "casual" kindov outfit, but that was too different from previous attires.

Feel the same way obout Ky and Sol redesign. Ram is still hot though. Dizzy is gorgeous.

What was the point of giving him black hair?

Apparently he was not cool enough, so they had to "americanize" him, making him say "fuck you", screw prostitutes and drink a lot.

I figured it made sense for "Surprising Redesigns" since that piece of art was alot of people's first exposure to NuDante, and it was pretty shocking at the time.

And yeah, I'm kinda mixed on DMC5 Dante too. The more casual look gets across the idea that Dante is getting older and more tired, but I still wish it had a little more flair. I always liked DMC1 Dante TBH.

i disagree a bit on this one. the outfits are fine. but it seems like they contrast with her personality and backstory from what i remember.
her p2 outfit from soulcalibur 3 has always been my favorite in the series.

yeah, that game was released during capcom's "push for the west." matt mcmuscles has a video on DMC: devil may cry. americans who play japanese games love it when the games have no japanese touch to it.

I absolutely love Riptor's redesign in the Killer Instinct reboot. She just looks so much cooler and you can even make her feathered if you have the cosmetics! One of the only characters I can actually win matches with too, I suck at Killer Instinct. x)

That's embarrassing to another level. Projects like this are doomed to fail from the start, like that Velma show, where the creator also inserted herself as the main character, and it was hated by everyone.

Worst redesign ever maybe.
So much so that it made me not even want to play the Megaman Zero series. I will someday, but the art is such a turn off for me as a big fan of the X series.
