Port of Super Mario Bros. for the PC Engine, music runs a bit fast and colors seem a bit washed but other than that seems to run quite fine. More info about the game can be found here.

There is already a Master System version, sort of, but I didn't like how it plays so I never bothered with it.

There is also another PC Engine version with better colors and music speed, but it suffers from graphical errors.
I was digging around about the other NES conversions and found this forum post from the guy that did all the NES2PCE homebrew (not the bootleg). It's an interesting read, but the relevant part is this:

" There's a 5-in-1 unlicensed rom from the netherlands that has SMB on it. It doesn't use emulation. Everything's been hacked and replaced to use PCE hardware directly. That means changing all kinds of game's assets. It's also meant for PAL PCE systems so the colors are off (and I think speed as well)."

Full post:

idk if the PAL PCE was ever emulated, but based on this it was just a US TurboGrafx16 modified to run at 50hz with an internal chip to intercept and convert ntsc signals. Release was limited so they must be incredibly rare.

I think it would be worth adding turboxray's nes conversions as well. I had a hard time finding them in the first place so would be nice if we could archive them here. Had to use the wayback machine to get the links:

oh also there was a Dragon Warrior conversion not present on his old website. I was only able to find a link to it in the description of this YouTube vid showing it off.

It's playable now on Genesis and PCE; hopefully it will be playable on Master System soon.

Definitely not feeling that color palette, but very cool regardless. Reminds me of all those recent NES to SNES ports from Infidelity and Rumbleminze.
I wonder if the screenshots are using the RGB or composite palette. Most emulators default to RGB. If I had to guess a bootleg from 93 would probably be designed for composite. There where quite a few PCE games that only accounted from composite and as a result look kind of weird in RGB. The most popular example is Bonk's skin looking very red in RGB.

Box art by me

This site and the admins do great work with box art. CONSISTENTLY the best box art file available anywhere is the one used (or made) on here front and center. At best other sites have a duplicate of the same choice, but usually a worse and uglier one / bad scan / bad calibration and small size too.

This game was originally on a bootleg 5in1 PC Engine card, alongside Ice climber and others.
The PC Engine architecture shares a lot of similarities with the NES/ Famicom hardware so it's easy to port its games on it. The Megaman port is available too.

I actually encouraged Rumbleminze to start porting NES titles to the TG16 on a YouTube livestream a few months ago.

It is quite similar to the FC/NES version that we all know, although the music is accelerated as in the European version of the game if you play at 60Hz when it is only optimized at 50Hz in that region and also that the color palette is somewhat different from the original color palette of the FC/NES version.
