There is the issue of forcing players to defeat a new boss first to unlock mario to access the bowser levels.

jk but yeah, n64 would maybe be my favorite version. I do love the extras in the ds version but without that analog stick it's hard...and tbh i like the artistic direction of the OG better ;w;

The analog controls alone makes the N64 version better.

You can mod those into the 3ds version, using the c pad cheat codes, exactly like the N64 version. You can also mod in widescreen and improve the gpu scaling making the game look way better. This also applies itself to all ds games.

Well worth your time to add those in as super mario 64 ds is now the superior version with all those additions.

For me the DS version would be the best if it wasn't for two things, the control and that to use the cape powers you need to use the right character.

DS controls worse and its additions are just pointless bloat. Like why would I want to play with a worse character in a game that is all about movement and freedom? Plus worse colors and NSMB enemy makeup.

Well to be honest I didn't play Super Mario 64 I didn't I doing have a N64 but I did have a GameCube, So from World I jump to Sunshine I skip the one

And I haven't play the Ds either (I did try the Supe Maria 64 but the camera isn't for me and I more of 2d Mario I really like the Super Mario bros 3 snd World I prefer that)
