See that ship? That's your only way out of here, and it's in ruins.

This game gave me a sensation of dread similar to how I felt when I first watched Interstellar, although the two stories are entirely different from one another.

You are alone here, full stop.
You won't be rescued; you won't escape unless you venture deeper than anyone ever did; and on top of all that, you are dying.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of alien wonders here, none of them made for you, none of them adapted to you, and the mere fact that some of them are safe for you to consume is unbelievable luck of your part.

And the atmosphere? Man!!
I never went scuba diving but I think this game gives a good showing of how terrifying that might feel.

I mean, I'm sure there aren't (hopefully) sea monsters out there in real life that are the size of a skyscraper building, but those waters might still make you shit your pants, man!!

I ain't got much else to say about my own experiences with this game, it's been a while since I played it.
But what about you? Have you played this game?

was ?? It still is a damn good game don´t talk like it dead hahaha. But honestly I got that game early acess like very early and I like that even then.

Zero is also a good game not a great as the first game but it was fun as well.

And im praying Subnautica 2 will be equally as great as the first or maybe as good as Zero was but with less focus on story as Zero was.

couldn't have said it better myself, this game is near and dear to me as throughout middle school it was all i played messing with every little detail in the game. Glad it finally got some love for real after being a hidden overlooked gem for so long.

Yeah, but I was specifically talking about the occasion when I experienced it, which is no more. :P

I never played Below Zero (because of my laptop, mind you), but from what I understand it is a pretty good game too.

Hehe yeah I understand the but it´s rather sound like oh no it´s dead when one says WAS.

Yeah Below zero was good but I do agree with allot of fans of the first game said they where no fan of main charter talking so much and I can of agree it´s a bit like Link and Gordon they always been quiet and now they speaking allot. So I can agree with them quiet MC is much better.

I played it more as a "swim" sim, I like water and sometimes I like watching those videos were you feel like underwater; I played it some hours in easy(?) mode, both this and "subzero" or whatever is the title of the second game. Played them on Switch, maybe the graphics weren't as good as other consoles but still I enjoyed it.
I'm not good at management games (this one, No Man's Sky also on Switch where I played on easy mode and finished the main story), but when I tried to swim to the very edge of the map, deep down, it made me feel goosebumps seeing the dark and those glowing shapes.

Yeah, I love Subnautica. I also have a bit of a fear of water in video games so playing this was certainly an experience for me. Even on my 3rd playthrough I still felt that constant anxiety and unease.
Never played Below Zero though. All the talking with other characters kinda killed the interest for me.

you know whats more scary than "detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region"? It is the "Are you certain whatever you are doing is worth it?" that comes just after it. Really makes you sit there and think for a second instead of hauling ass

To this day I've only ventured to the mountains to gather a wreck or two and then swim away in terror like a cartoon character. That place is evil.

I loved the Subnautica games. I have the platinum trophies for both and can't wait for the new one... whenever it will release on Playstation.

Subnautica is a good game never got into it though I probably should give it another try, sony giving it away for free on the Ps4 during the pandemic was a massive W for Sony.

I quit it and forgot it 😅 he he don't know why but I should try it again.

I had never heard of these.

Definitely looks like something I'd be into.

I remember playing this for Game Pass quests years ago and yeah, not for me -- it seemed super janky. Plus I absolutely loathe survival games.

I've never beat it, but I enjoy playing it. It's one of the better survival games I have played, and it doesn't tire me like Ark, as that game would cause my monitor to blank out for some reason, whereas no other game did that.

It's a great game; I beat it using the Prawn suit because I found the Cyclops was unnecessary and awkward to handle precisely

I usually made the Cyclops exclusively to move loot from wherever I was settled at, to the
Lost River.
I might do multiple bases across the map when I play it again.

I have never played, but reading Prawn Suit has made me famished.

Well, you should play it; it came out for Android if you have a phone that can run it.

I had three bases in my playthrough, one by the staring point, one next to the crashed ship, and one by the deepest part of the map.

And for iPhone, which can probabably run on anything that came after the 12.
