Oof yeah, pretty much agree with Batushka there lmao (don't think The Cure is absolutely underrated tho lol). and nice that you appreciate Malice Mizer thereDont worry, i got you.
The Cure themselves aren't underrated, but that album is. Legit ask anyone for their favorite Cure album, and they'll tell you, "Disintegration" because its got "Pictures of You", "Love Song", "Lullaby" (pretty much the Cure songs you hear all the time). Its rare to find any Cure fan who has "Pornography" as their favorite. Its much less poppy, more of a darker vibe, doesnt get radio play or spots in TV commercials. I think its an album that people are only aware of, if they REALLY listen to the Cure.Oof yeah, pretty much agree with Batushka there lmao (don't think The Cure is absolutely underrated tho lol). and nice that you appreciate Malice Mizer there
Well yeah you might be right regarding their more commercial career, although I'm not gonna criticize because my fav song from them is still "A Forest" lmaoThe Cure themselves aren't underrated, but that album is. "Seventeen Seconds" is a great album. I enjoy quite a bit off it (a forest, in your house, M, at night). Its also a much easier to approach, and recommend album than "Pornography". Similar case with Malice Mizer. I think "Bara no Seidou" is very underrated. Its always "Merveilles" that gets the attention, and recommendation.Well yeah you might be right regarding their more commercial career, although I'm not gonna criticize because my fav song from them is still "A Forest" lmao
I always recommend Memoire DX and their demos for anyone that enjoys that gothy/new-wave vibeSimilar case with Malice Mizer. I think "Bara no Seidou" is very underrated. Its always "Merveilles" that gets the attention, and recommendation.
Yes, the stuff that really shows off their instrumentation and variety. I usually show their song, "Le Ciel", as its quite beautiful sounding, even if someone doesn't like the strange Japanese vocals.I always recommend Memoire DX and their demos for anyone that enjoys that gothy/new-wave vibe
unknown death is leans most underrated album these day tbh very basedDont worry, i got you.View attachment 60404
I really enjoyed how fun his songs were early on. That whole, Unknown Death - Profound Sadness - Unknown Memory period. Was just really fun, pokemon lotion, nekobasu iceland, shorty what you smoking on etc. Felt innocent. Now everything he does is so.... Serious? Psychological? He's definitely grown as an artist, and been through some rough times.unknown death is leans most underrated album these day tbh very based
I was expecting Depeche Mode or New Order. Maybe the Human League? This is unique for sure. Very avantgarde.that gothy/new-wave vibe
