Here is the update to a Texture Pack for Strike Witches: Silver Wings (PSP) that translate the game (or 99% of it) that I had made in the past, but it was missing some dialogues.

I used DeepTL and my very little of japanese that i know translate the game.

-What is translated:
  1. -All Menus:
    1. Story Mode
    2. Arcade, Time Attack and Practice Mode
    3. What the girls say when you explore the base
    4. Ranking Menu
    5. Options
  2. Story
  3. Tarot section with Eila
-About the textures:
Some of the textures were taken from the Xbox 360 version due to being in much higher resolution and others were upscaled using Waifux2, so some may look very good and some kinda weird.

Also some textures between the Xbox and PSP are different, so i tried to "match" the psp ones using the xbox ones using photoshop...

The textures that were replaced were the ones related to the Characters, Bosses and Enemies, as well stages and various menus. The textures that wasnt replaced/upscaled were the ones related to effects like bullets and beams.

-How it works:
-Put the folder "NPJH50622" inside the folder named "TEXTURES" on the PPSSPP emulator.

-On the PPSSPP emulator, you need to enable the option "Texture Replacement".

Special Thanks to:
-People from the World Witches Series discord for all the info and sprites/textures that they provided.
-AkiraJkr from the PPSSPP discord and forum for the texture.ini explanation and template.
-DKDave from the XeNTAx discord who created a script to extract the missing textures that i needed that were inside the Xbox 360 ver.

nice! would be even nicer if someone made this translation available on the 360 version also

I can probably compress and get the png's 5%-10% smaller (no quality loss or change of filters). Want me to do it?

Code:
 663538 -> 603445  90% skysunrise.png

227M -> 189M 17% smaller!

Just occurred to me i could go a little further.

I'm going to try a pass using a tool where i remove unneeded transparency layers and removing stuff from the images that are fully transparent (or so close to...). Though a lot of these are pretty good to start, but have some garbage at the edges. May result in a slightly smaller textures pack but needs to be checked.

I remember some games do clouds by having full white for the image, and then transparency amounts to show the content under the clouds. So other than it should be tested before being fully relied on. I'll have it up in a bit.

Alright, got it done and uploaded. As a combined and transparency vs non-transparent files. (files that were 98% opaque had transparency stripped). The transparency ones should look and feel no different but could be smaller. Probably best to test it.

edit: Due to lack of interest I've removed it; Nothing has been lost (The 2Mb-4Mb savings aren't enough to really worry about).
