Personally I prefer Remake but would love to know everyones opinions here.
Absolutely 4, which I think is the best modern brawler game.
it's better with more than one player. The game is hard for just one person to beat. You need someone hitting bosses when you're knocked flat on your ass.4th was the worst beat 'em up I ever played. Cartoon graphics and BS design choices in characters aside (fat Alex and sunglasses Adam like dude who would wear glasses while fighting), the issue of the game is many things:
- Hit boxes are bad.
- Characters are slow so can't dodge when you need the most. The ability to dodge by simply walking fast enough is vital. Slowness also about how slow your character attacks. Only one character can run, rest slowly walks lol.
- Shielded enemies. The hell is this BS?
- Enemies bounce from the edge of screen and get backs to visible part of your screen. It was a tactical decision to throw enemies off-screen.
- Bad levels and design choices.
I rather play 1st game when 3rd game is peak in gameplay. If they had combined 3rd gameplay with 1st level design it would be great. Instead the game developed was nothing like the original games.
Therefore I don't consider it was the 4th game. The real 4th game is the remake lol. Carry on.
don't get me started on the sp attack system.... still every charcter (exepct for a couple of hidden ones) should be able to run IMO... even through this game has every chracter from the old SOR games but still i tried this on normal and the second stage was kicking me in the groin when i fought4th was the worst beat 'em up I ever played. SoR almost always had cartoony graphics. Aside from SoR 3 which I find the visually dullest because of the colours and SoR 1 while being more realistic still had some stylistic visuals.4th was the worst beat 'em up I ever played. SoR X is top tier too.If you prefer the fighting mechanics of 4 you should try Streets Of Rage X
maybe he meant Axel instead of Alex. The Remake is really good.
But then again taking what already exists and making a 100% original thing are two different ways of making something.
It's like Crash N Sane Trilogy vs It's About Time.

Who's Alex? Also yes, when men get older they get weight and honestly this isn't a bad thing to show the character evolving. Adam wearing sunglasses is cool but is this necessary to want realism in a game with fighting robots?

Yeah.maybe he meant Axel instead of Alex.
Axel lol. Typo. My brain autocorrect system thinks the name "Axel" is BS so it has to be "Alex" lol.SoR almost always had cartoony graphics. Aside from SoR 3 which I find the visually dullest because of the colours and SoR 1 while being more realistic still had some stylistic visuals.

Update. Found it here. https://www.reddit.com/r/VitaPiracy/comments/q1aqcj/streets_of_rage_remake_vita_port/I haven't played any of those, but I was wondering if the remake was ported to other platforms and found this GitHub page. Aparately it can be played on the Vita.
I am not sure if it works on the Vita3K? I hope it does.
There is some sort of process to create the port. If there is anyone there, knowledgeable and brave, who can test and share... :-)

Ah, the most nonsense subjective nonsense humanity came up with that doesn't even make sense due to the way how and why people use it compared to what it supposed to mean lol.MLIF
