trailer released 2 days ago - seems like it could be fun

Same.I'm still a bit skeptical, but I'll will give the film a chance.
Then one year later: true greatness...This trailer is so schizophrenic, probably wreaks of too many chefs in the kitchen. Why is Guile surprised by a Hadouken, when Charlie taught him how to do a Sonic Boom before he even met Ryu? Why do Ryu and Ken hate each other and have to rekindle their relationship before the tournament? Why is El-Fuerte a fat loser? Did these guys ever hear of Rufus? Why is Cammy so catty? Did they get impatient and think they were writing Juri?
Some of the costumes are spot on, almost eerily so. Which is cool, but they seem to be holding characters to the visuals of different games (Chun-Li and Guile are SF2, but Cammy is Alpha, Ken is SFV, Blanka SF6). Ken being such a focus is frustrating, since his biggest plot in SF2 was getting married to Eliza.
Some of the stunt work looks like it might be okay, though I can't tell if they're going to be playing everything for comedy half the time or not. I see Chun-Li getting into the shower and I have no idea how they could top the shower fight from the old animated movie, but after seeing her do a Spinning Bird Kick into a Sen'enshu, it might be fun to see them attmept it.
In end though, none of this matters, since we already got the best Street Fitghter movie back in 1993:
Yeah, see, you get it. I almost forgot she overarmed a couch at one point....
I would rather it not bomb. I don't need Street Fighter (2026) to be "better" than SFII: The Animated Movie; just be good, entertaining, and cheesy for the right reasons, and those fight scenes to mean something. Also, the Alpha animated films are ass. More so the first one, but most people don' talk about the second Alpha movie either (which is in its own universe separate from the first Alpha film and SF game continuity as a whole). SFII-V TV Series is good, but an AU that's completely different. Street Fighter Assassin's Fist is great, but a web series. Still a good time, but more of a slow burn early in.So now, I kinda hope this movie bombs so we can get another animated Street Fighter.
SF II-V, or better known as "Spot the Akuma".SFII-V TV Series is good, but an AU that's completely different.
Shit from a butt, you might say. Aside from the insistence that Ryu and Akuma might be father and son for some reason ("Alpha: The Animation" it was a central plot point, but debunked when it turned out to be a lie by Shun, while in "Alpha: Generations" it was implied by the "Old Master's" dying monologue) it gave us Ryu's Chinese Ghost Army, and Ryu Beating the everloving shit out of Sakura until she pukes as he pontificates about life. Also, the Alpha animated films are ass.
Honestly, I would happily trade in II-V for a proper 26 episode SF Alpha TV adaption taking elements from Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 especially.Shit from a butt, you might say. Jackie Chan is convinced as Chun-LiThis trailer is so schizophrenic, probably wreaks of too many chefs in the kitchen. Well, there was the one scene where Ken got his head repeatedly slammed into a brick wall in the middle of a back alley. Plus, you can tell when E.Honda shows up that there fighting in a sauna like his stage in the game.2) I'm noticing a distinct lack of... Street fights.
Oh...1) It's TOO DARK
That was always a problem with Street Fighter franchise as a whole. The only games to follow through on fighting streets most of the time are the first game, some stages in the Alpha series, and nearly all of SF III and SFVI. III and VI emphasis the street in Street Fighter the most.2) I'm noticing a distinct lack of... Street fights.
That's What`s up by Non blondes??? wtf dude I don't think the song fits the trailer well...trailer released 2 days ago - seems like it could be fun
