I didn't know this game but I've read comments that this game requires the Power Pad so that the game can be played at least.

Although it is not known if there is any Romhack to be able to play the game with a standard FC/NES controller instead of the Power Pad.

This one requires the "Power Pad". To my knowledge, only Mesen supports "Power Pad" controls.

Jheez those powerpad games sucked, I ended up using mine as a rug in a tree house.
