Each and every one of us had some weird food quirks as a kid....

Hell, some of us still have them, whether it's liking pickles and peanut butter, syrup on pizza (I'm guilty of the pizza one) or Cheerios in soup. So, what weird things did you eat as a kid or still eat as an adult?

As a kid for whatever reason, if we had home baked pizza, I had to have my pizza slices re-baked after it came out, with maple syrup on it. Now... to be fair, I was a weird messed-up kid anyway, but I don't mean like half a bottle of syrup... I mean a little coating and caramelized under the broiler.

Also as a kid, I used to eat that alphabet soup. For those of you who have never seen or don't know what it is, it's basically veggie soup with pasta shapes in it of the alphabet. I absolutely would not eat the letter P.
I looked over every spoonful like a detective looking for fingerprints. No idea to this day why I did that, but at the time, when I was asked, I said the letter P tasted funny.

One thing I remember from my childhood is that I'd put the ketchup on my pizza and then lick it entirely before properly eating the pizza...

We also had this turtle-shaped chocolate in my country and I remember I'd first eat the back paws, then the front paws, then the head and finally the tail, always in this order, before eating the body. Truly a psycho.

don’t know if you can them weird but these foods are more like a dare or a challenge from Fear Factor rather than a delicacy.

First off the low tier one
Fried Frogs-these are mainly common on provinces more specifically are like farm fields that are near to a body of water(lakes and creeks)

What does it takes like?
It tastes like chicken.

And here’s the top tier
Balut- it’s basically a boiled duck embryo. This street food is commonly on sale during nighttime.

What does it tastes like?
It taste like unseasoned boiled chicken and egg yolk.

Though I really love specially if paired with ice cold beer.

My dad is a big hunter so I grew up on things like frog legs, venison, quail, and pheasant.

As a kid, I hated mayonnaise and mustard so I would put cream cheese on my sandwiches instead.

I also used to take slices of cheese and wrap them around the hottest chips I could find.

Not so much weird... but for a kid, weird.
When I was around 4 or 5 (I don't remember it honestly) my brother told me that I would get up on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons. Instead of what a normal kid would do (this is me we are talking about) grab cereal and eat it dry, while watching cartoons.... I would eat spicy dill pickles from the jar and watch Transformers.

I honestly have no recollection of this, but I doubt he has a reason to keep something as silly as that as an ongoing joke/lie for this many years. ::cirnoshrug

The weirdest food related things I did as kid, that I can remember anyway, was whenever I'd have a pizza I would take the toppings off (Assuming I had one with toppings on and not just a margherita/cheese pizza) and eat them, then the cheese, then lick all the sauce off and then eat the rest of it. I have no idea why I did this, and now that I think about; I also used to have a habit of separating everything on my plate and eating them individually.

Me and my brother also used to this thing every Easter where we'd get all the chocolate eggs we got, break them down and put them in a bowl and then throw it in the microwave and we'd have a bowl of melted chocolate. We had to stop that though (And was banned from using the microwave too) after we accidentally set the microwave on fire after leaving a metal spoon in the bowl when trying to re-heat it and melt the chocolate down again after putting the bowl in the fridge overnight.

I Love to salt my eggs with dusted chicken broth instead of salt, it begun when i was a kid

My sister was similar... except she used to use SUGAR
That's fuckin' brutal, kind of like having a fried egg on a chicken sandwich

I don't think it's that weird, my friend jez absolutely would not eat anything on her plate as a kid (about 10 at the time) if any of the food's touched.

Sounds yummy actually. I mean if you like sweets, and that's a cool memory
Not so much the almost fire thing.

It really was honestly. I never had much of a sweet tooth and still don't (That was more my brothers thing), but every kid loves chocolate. I don't even remember how we came up with the idea to even do that, but when I think back on it, I really can't help but laugh for some reason. I'll never forget my mum coming downstairs while we're playing Xbox or something after putting it in the microwave to pass time while it melted, and just hearing her shout out "OH MY GOD, THE FUCKING MICROWAVES ON FIRE!!!" and then we run to the kitchen and the smoke alarm starts going off. Thankfully it didn't spread and got caught early, and then I had to get a really stern talking to and she made sure to drill it into my head that you never put anything metal in the microwave.

Well, probably for the best, she did honestly.
And glad to hear no one or anything, aside the poor microwave and spoon..
where harmed during the whole ordeal...

...As for the chocolate thing, I actually, even as a kid, didn't like sweets, never was a candy eater. Even to this day, I might eat the equivalent of a candy bar every three months. Most of the time, if I want a little something sweet, it's just a bite of peanut butter on a single piece of bread.

A sandwich of Kanikama and Barbecue sauce. My strange experiment is so good that to this day I still eat it when I have the ingredients.

Western salad dressing on dry corn flake cereal is actually pretty good for some reason. Lunchmeat with peanut butter is gross, though I've also had peanut butter, grape jelly and a little bit of mayonnaise on a sandwich years ago, as well as a little bit of sugar in ramen noodles as well as a little bit of peanut butter in ramen too.

I don’t know if this is weird enough but I started doing this since I was 7 years old. I tend to make a “sandwich” with loaf bread slices as I spread it with margarine, drizzled it with sugar, put runny fried egg and some ketchup. For me it tastes really good but everyone at home gives that look whenever I make it.

totino's will never see me ever again if i make this, i can go nuts and "mix n match" with this.
