How does Steam Link work on a gaming laptop? Is it really good for streaming games from PC to TV?

I have used mine from my gaming laptop to my TV and it worked mostly fine. I strongly recommend a wired connection for both the link and your laptop to remove most of the problems that can crop up.
I also recommend only playing games that use a controller via the link. It might not be the same for you but I had input issues when I tried keyboard/mouse.

It's not the best way to do so, I notice that there's usually some latency when using Steam Link even over LAN. I prefer using Moonlight + Sunshine as that seems to do a better job of minimizing latency, same with Nvidia Stream.
If you're not that tech-savvy then yeah Steam Link will probably be your best bet.
Since you're using a laptop and TV why not just use an HDMI cord to connect the laptop and TV and connect whatever peripheral direct to your laptop?

I don`t own long HDMI cord only one i`m using on PS4 and when I shall use that HDMI cord I need to place laptop on the floor and sit down on the floor for to use laptop besides I have nowhere to place my laptop on.
