About the ROM files: On October 31, 2025, a complete ROM of Splatterworld was anonymously released on 4chan. It was quickly archived by fans and was initially playable only in the FCEUX emulator because it used a rare Namco mapper. The leak made the full game accessible for preservation and future translation work. These are 3 roms I found with different CRCs, from what I assume is the exact same thing with maybe different headers. Bottomline is, as of the time of writing this, that all 3 roms work on FCEUX (or FCEUmm RetroArch Core) and nowhere else. So keep […]

The Splatterhouse-IP didnt got enough love in its lifetime and its awesome that we finally get more Splatterhouse to love .

Not enough games are either inspired by this franchise or tried to be a spiritual successor .

Im hyped for it and hope the translation is quickly done .

Usually hot games get done quick, like that McDonald's training DS game.
And for the little I played this game looks really good, horror final fantasy style RPG.
I agree. It's a surprisingly fun game. Nice enemy variety and soundtrack as well.

I remember when that McDonalds game was a lost media and people search for that.
Who the fuck developed that game? it is the developer studio known? TOSE :loldog?

A very bizarre idea, but just for that, I will applause McDonalds.
i remember watching the nick robinson video on that when it first came out, best plot twist in a youtube video ive seen when he revealed that he had bought the game and dumped after going on for like 30 minutes about how it was lost media

According to Ghideon Zhi of Aeon Genesis, text translation is complete. Now it's only a matter of time before the patch is released.....or stuck in limbo like some other Aeon Genesis projects.

I've honestly played the First Splatterhouse of Arcade and TG16, the sequels that came out in Mega Drive/Genesis and even the Famicom Spin-Off that is the Wanpaku Graffiti but I didn't know that this Splatterhouse had a JRPG type game and also that it looks very good despite being considered a prototype.

Oh, WOW. Amazing.

A huge THANK YOU to the anonymous donor of this lost content to the community.
A full* playable game from the original Famicom/NES era?
This seems to be an extremely important find for the console catalog.

PS: *complete... or maybe near complete, OK.
