I have been playing GTA games recently and for the first time i actually sat down listening to the radio in game finding new hits that i might enjoy and suprisingly i found old pop music that i just heard for the first time and really got hooked and wanting more but i dont know where to look so my thinking got me here, other than the known artists like Wham, still love thier music to this day but i need more obsecure ones, ill share some of the songs i discoverd recently and i want you guys to share some songs similar to them. catchy with nice melody, soul moving pop some say

Ok this is gonna be fun to browse, ill let people cook

If you want something truly soul-moving, I recommend Martina McBride, Suzanne Vega and Sita. They turn stories into songs and feel like they are sharing them with you personally.

Mmm 3 videos of your post are unavailable for me, must be geographical location.
Not much of a pop guy, but this song sounds good. And I have the vivid memory of me sitting watching & listening this song, thinking in the girl I liked at that time while in the air there is this nice smell... my mom is making pizza!

I'm allowed to post Canadian female popstars from my youth in this thread, RIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHTTTTTT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!

This is by far my favourite Avril record, and it's only from 2022. She's still got it! I'm her #1 fanboy on the planet, so if anyone else likes her, I'll simply have to remove you.

I was also desperately in love with this chick from the ages of about 10-13. She really was kind of Avril-lite and was self-aware of that fact, but her first album is very good. Noise from the Basement is what early-to-mid-2000s Canada sounded like. I can't tell you how many girls I knew who were like this to a T.

As I mentioned in the other music thread, Lights was a fucking unbelievable talent from my era and deserved some form of a break she never got. Second Go is still her biggest hit, but her music continues to bop heavily to this very day.

Another awesome punk-pop song from that era, this entire album was fucking fan-dabby-dozy. In a horrid twist of fate, this chick ended up marrying Onision (seriously, she's his wife and was heavily involved in his controversy).

Carly Rae Jepsen is going to live forever through Call Me Maybe, which I think is legitimately one of the defining songs of last decade, but she had a huge pop career before that point, and this song is one of my favourites. She's also from where I'm from, making the dream that I could marry her one day a very real possibility – I HOPE!!!!!!

Taylor Swift’s shake it off is a magnum opus frfr best song of all time

Ai Otsuka-金魚花火[Goldfish Fireworks]
I sing along to this every time it plays. So good.

Kerli-Blossom
[I don't know if any of you remember her song 'Walking on Air' from way back. She went back to Estonia and just kept making music her way.]

Kim Petras-Icy
[I listened to this a lot after my kid's dad and I split]

Allie X-Weird World
[Seriously her new album is exceptional]
