200 dollars is insane. in this economy.
The sad part is $200 is actually really solid pricing for a higher end quality fightstick in the current year. Obviously everyone should just build their own because it will be cheaper and requires very little know-how to do if you just follow some guides, but this beats out competitors like the Obsidian 2 whilst seemingly being a better product overall. I honestly don't think you'll find a wireless stick with these quality of parts at a price point like this from a major manufacturer.
It is compact, has raised buttons (great for playing while lounging around lazily which I tend to do lol) in the noir format which I like and I love how tall the lever is. My biggest issue with stuff like the Obsidian 2 is that the stick feels so stubby! The "gate" being adjustable to circle, square and octagon on the fly is the coolest thing I've seen in a minute. I'm sure it's been done before but not having to swap out parts to try different input styles is awesome and also just makes it more appealing to people with any gate preference.
The big thing that will determine if I bother getting one is finding out how moddable it is. Sticks are an extension of your person and if swapping out buttons, stick tops, springs etc is a pain in the ass I'll just stick with what I have. I tend to prefer bat top so seeing it come with just a ball top is a bit sad. Hopefully I can swap it out!
