It would be better than a Vita because it would run Android, which would make installing emulators a lot easier.

I still have a soft spot for this era of mobile tech. I'm still holding onto my NGage even though its a huge piece of shit with nothing worth playing that you can't play anywhere else.

Might have to look into acquiring an older Sony Ericsson phone so I can play Doom RPG and that one simpsons game.

Oh yeah, the playstation phone, I think it would have a better chance now. There wasn't much you could do with it at the time, android emulation wasn't developed enough.

That would be a nice thing to have, really -- specially now that stuff like DraStic and a myriad of other emulators have gotten really good.

Ya the Sony Ericsson Xperia phone was damn sweet. I always wanted one and kicked myself for passing by one that was unknown if it was working in a thrift shop, My partner and I were there some years ago.
I could have gotten it for 15 bucks. Just no idea if it would have worked. What can you do?
Yeah, they were basically a PSP2 for the time anyway
