I would have loved to have Sonic fast food figures as a kid!

Sadly, we’re about a decade into the era of fast food toys being made EVEN CHEAPER than they always were. If it can be an immovable, amorphous, plastic blob that’s vaguely in the shape of a character, than it will be. I want to not be cynical, and I like Rouge being more purple (I like the color purple), but these are… not good. For a child, they are not good. For nobody are these good.

I wish I could recommend the Jakks Pacific figures for any parent raising a child who’s a Sonic fan, as they SHOULD BE AFFORDABLE, but unless you’re in the market for the 2.5” range, they seem to never ship any other characters than Sonic to stores. I made the mistake of trying to collect characters when I was around the ages 18 to 21, and scalpers easily snapped up any and all unique characters and put them at a 5x markup on EBay. Shame too, since the retail price for the 4” figures is $10, which is really affordable and consumer friendly.
