Anime Sonic RemiX - Sonic X fan redub

Sonic X's English dub by 4kids is terrible. It has lots of censorship, cut content, bad voice acting, and a worse soundtrack (there's plenty of comparison videos on YT). The best way to watch Sonic X at the moment is to watch it subbed. However, many people won't want to read the subs, so they won't get the full Sonic X experience.

Luckily, Café Chaotix is making a fan redub called Sonic RemiX. The first step is to cut out the voices, which is actually very time consuming. However, with the advancement of AI this is getting faster. After the voices have been cut out, then the redub can begin. If you're good at voice acting, you can audition. The deadline is 20th June.

Thats nice, seeing that they talk about Rouge's boobs (IN A KIDS SHOW!!!) in the sub I'll stick with the dub. If you would of said the Adventure Arc were bad I would agree but nah.

Personally, I thought the 4Kids VAs were fantastic. Heck, I would argue that they're even better than the JP VAs.

But I WILL agree that the censorship, cut content as well the soundtrack were atrocious.

The voice actors themselves were actually great, they were great in the games that came after Sonic X. The problem is that the voice direction of the Sonic X 4kids dub was poor.

I mean, plenty of other "KIDS" anime have suggestive themes, violence, profanity and countless other things that shouldn't be exposed to a child. But here's the kicker; NOBODY, even children themselves, gives a shit. At the end of the day, all that matters is whether or not they find the show entertaining to watch.

Was this said in an explicit manner? Also it's interesting that fans insist that Sonic isn't just made for kids (I think the demographics was more like preteens/teens than kids as Sega wanted to appeal to a slightly older audience than what video games were usually seen for by the general public since they were more or less toys with extra steps).


On the other hand the 4kids dub butchered the show much beyond that, there are videos about it on Youtube. I like that my dub thankfully got out of 4kids' clutches.

I hope this fandub doesn't get shut down.

To be honest if someone wanted the most authentic experience they would either learn the language or go for subtitles.
