Sonic R (Dreamcast Port)

Edit: seems like video is deleted, will update it once SegaGuru releases it.
Video is apparently private... Shame.

What's Segaguru btw?

I'd love to see an Android (and iPhone) port of the PC version someday.

As a Saturn owner, I don't know why I'm excited for this per se?.. But I definitely am. So... Woohoo!
Local four players? But Dreamcast emulation is generally easier than Saturn and game should run better.

This is done by the same guys who did Sonic Mania to Dreamcast (which I still don't have) so I expect high quality, even the special stages run at full speed.

More so "who" and it's a youtube channel I follow, I follow a bunch of youtube channels to keep up to date with cool hacks and homebrews, unfortunately the segaguru has a tendency of making mistakes like sharing stuff prematurely or running into technical issues or even spread inaccurate information which is why I try not to share stuff early but similar to him I get excited sometimes (such is the case now) and end up embarrassing myself.

I'd do anything for a PS Vita port, you can bet I'd be sharing that baby as soon as I can get it (if/when it happens).

While I love Ymir I agree that DC emulation is more convenient.

Oh cool. No idea how well the PSP could handle one though but I am for any other ports of a game.

I generally run this stuff on hardware anyway, but I'm definitely interested in comparing the two versions side by side. If it's based on the Windows version it could be higher res and have less fog, right?

And now I'm learning that has a Dreamcast port. Even more exciting!

The PC port had some flaws (regarding the lighting system being nerfed).

That's exactly what I'd be interested in seeing! One version has better lighting and crisp 240p, the other runs smoother and is 480i... There's a lot I won't know until I've played them on the same set!

Depends on what you mean by fog as the PC version adds weather effects XD

But joking aside, fun fact, the Saturn version does not have fog effect as the hardware was incapable of adding fog effect like the Playstation, instead this was a special technique by the wizards at Traveller's Tales similar to the transparency effect in Radiant Dimond which the PC version removed, you can learn more about it in Jon Burton's analysis video.

There's a PSP port as well, though I have it for a while it's got no audio but it's been a couple of years so it's possible been updated, idk.
