& this collection is actually good I'm assuming because they didn't remove Sonic 3 music.
They didn't change Sonic 3's music until Sonic Origins in 2022, all of the old compilations that had Sonic 3 in them still kept the Michael Jackson stuff.

This was the best Sonic collection I have ever played. I was in 7th grade when it first came out and got so excited I get to play my favorite Sonic games on a Nintendo console instead of the Genesis because I was a Nintendo kid during the console wars even though I did own a Genesis with Sonic 1 and owned the PC ports of Sonic 2 and Sonic Spinball via Sega Smash Pack, Sonic 3&Knuckles, and Sonic 3D Blast. The museum, Sonic Archie comic issues, classic game manuals, menu musicm trailers and the upcoming teaser of Sonic Advance 2 were incredible.

Damn 2002??!!

but yeah I had alot of nostalgic memories with this one ever since i got this as a christmas present (or i think on my birthday in 2003) i loved every single bit of it, loved the extras menu music and still bump it to this day from time to time lol

Coming from owning only Sonic 1, 2 and Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 back then, this whole collection was a huge treat as a fan of the series that never played all of it's games nor owned before outside the ones i'd mentioned.

Sonic 3D Blast took me time to get used it's controls at first when i first played it but once i got the hang of it every visit i'd end up loving it more than i have to admit.

loved the random extras like Flicky, Ristar (another favorite of mines), Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Even the Sonic archie comics i've never heard or ever seen before till this collection came thru.

so yeah thank you SEGA for the idea of creating this and the memories i had with this one, appreciate it!

One of the first two games that I had for the GameCube alongside Super Smash Bros. Melee and one of the best Sonic game collections to ever exist as it has not only Sonic's best games from the Genesis days (alongside Ristar and Flicky), but also character illustrations, videos, Archie comic covers, and the legendary nostalgic Extras Menu music.

One of my first Gamecube games, alongside THUG.

Never did unlock Ristar since the unlock conditions were pretty dumb. YOu had to boot up certain games a certain amount of times, so If you wanted to play Sonic 3 & Knuckles you would have to boot up Sonic 3 and S&K 20 times.

Ah my first experience with classic Sonic. I don't know how the port quality is compared to the Genesis originals but I played through everything here and loved it. Well most of it. 3D Blast was weird.
