I came to appreciate Flicky not too long ago, as an adult, whereas as a kid, I was more into Sonic, Streets of Rage, Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong, Super Mario and more.
I thought this was a very simple sprite swap, but it's actually quite charming!

When Sonic instead of Flicky has to look for the Chirps they are the Chicks and take them to the Exit at each stage.
