I wanted to share with you all some of my cheat engine tables i made to play as bosses
There are 3 tables; the games are Super Robot Wars Masou Kishin Pride of Justice, Super Robot Wars OG Infinite Battle, and Gundam Extreme VS Next Plus, all 3 games for the PS3, of course. Just load the game, then open the table, and select the RPCS3.exe process.

I still have to find the IDs for Gundam Extreme VS. There are a lot of them, but some digits are
120 = Psycho Gundam MK2
121 = Psycho Gundam MK2 (Piloted by Puru)
122 = Queen Mansa
123 = Destroy Gundam
You need to put in those values while you are selecting your Gundam, freeze the value, and enter the battle.

For Super Robot Wars OG Infinite Battle, the only unplayable robot is Valsion; his ID is 10. Enter this ID before you enter the character selection screen.

For SRT Masou Kishin Pride of Justice i found the IDs in this japanese page: https://cheatroom.web.fc2.com/list/PS3/masou3.txt

Also as an extra i made Orochi playable in the PS1 version.
Player 1 is Orochi: 3001A895 0000001E

You need to enable it BEFORE entering a battle; do not enable it as soon as you start the game, or the game will crash at the character selection screen.
I still don't consider this code ideal because I need to make a Joker command.

Hey OP,
Firstly, thanks! Boss stuff. People like you... chef kiss.
I was just wondering, do you have any advice for getting started with this sort of thing? I've noodled around with some hex edit stuff on DmC3 but only to tweak my save file so everything is unlocked (I keep accidentally deleting my save data every time I beat it because dumbass Virgil needs his own save file). I mostly followed someones advice for that as well. Anyway, I'm really interested in this sort of stuff, making my own hacks, shit like that so really anything to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated - I wanna make something to give back to this community

Thanks, mate. Yeah, I love making unplayable characters playable. I never liked those limitations... for some games there is a checksum, so it's not as easy to hack.

Well, im not too familiar with save editing but the principle is the same: you need to find basic values first. for example, you have 1328 gold, so you need to transform this to hex value, that would be 0530 You go to your hex editor, open the save file, and search for this value. It will probably point you in the right direction, but in this area you should find other values like your equipment, etc.
After that is just modify and test; this is a LOT of trial and error. If the save doesn't use a checksum, then it won't be too hard. There are games like Lunar 2 that use a checksum, so every time you ADD something, you need to add that value to the checksum, which is a PITA to do, because if you subtract a value, you need to subtract it from the checksum as well... Also, I don't know how to find checksum values.
Games do this as a way to prevent cheating.

For character hacking such as playing with a unplayable boss in a fighting games this is not as hard, but takes a long time to find the character values, sometimes you need to use common sense to figure out the character ID, for example in Street Fighter most of the time Ryu has got the lowest ID value, Ken as got the next value, Chun Li is probably ID 3, and so on, you go to a battle with Ryu, search for unknown initial value, then go back to char selection screen, select Chun Li, search for increased value, then go back to select screen, select Ryu, go back to cheat engine, select decreased value, go back, and so on... its a painful process but after a while you should find your char values.

This is just a very quick explanation, of course, you can also do some memory editing which is what i do most of the time.

Thanks! Really! This is all quite helpful and honestly hearing somebody saying it's a lot of trial and error is really assuring. I'm gonna see if I can make Gill playable in Third Strike on my own (I know it's been done before but yenno). I wonder if Ibuki's lost super from second impact is hidden in there as well
