So what are you are up to for Xmas

Pedantic much
I am not but like it or not CHRISTMAS is a Christian holiday.
You are not forced to celebrate it nobody is forcing you to,
but if you Insist on celebrating it honor its original meaning and why we celebrate Christmas not Xmas in the first place.
As I find the term deeply disrespectful.

X as an abbreviation has ties to Greek and it's been used for hundreds of years. It isn't removing christ from christmas. You're mad over nothing

Let's not ruin the festive spirit because of spelling, now. However you want to call it, everyone is entitled to celebrate how they see fit, or not at all, if they so desire.

Edit: More on topic, nothing incredible scheduled here, but I like cozy and quiet.

We are talking about English though and not Greek otherwise we could apply that logic for any word from any language if it did not suit me and besides it has been Traditionally called Christmas in the English Language and that for a very long time and not Xmas as Xmas is a modern term and not traditionally used for it.
And besides I do feel quite strongly about it and nearly requested if people celebrate it at least respect the Holiday otherwise celebrate however you want to celebrate it.
Calling it Xmas does also feel very commercially to me and it does kind of ruin the spirit and meaning of Christmas for me.
Also if I was mad I would not reply to it I am just a bit displeased.

I don't disagree with that and in the End everyone has to find there own way they want celebrate it but I still keep the right to at least request of saying its proper name.
As Christmas still is what Christmas is nobody is forced to celebrate it and if they do they do it out of there own choice and I don't want that the original meaning of Christmas to get forgotten over some modern Commercial term like Xmas where people only think of Santa Claus and me presents and consume.

You misinterpreting it doesn't make it any less so, though.
"In English, "X" was first used as a scribal abbreviation for "Christ" in 1100; "X'temmas" is attested in 1551, and "Xmas" in 1721."

As for your last part, maybe check out the full version of the movie Saving Christmas? There's a guy in that movie who expresses similar concerns to yours here (except they have an issue with "happy holidays" over the X thing) and I... maybe the explanations there would set your mind at ease a little? idk

The term if used back then had a different meaning from what it is used for today as Language evolves also a movie is not a good evidence in the slightest as movies are a work of fiction and not facts.

Fact is and stays that for a very very long time the term Christmas was used before the term Xmas we introduced and not out of any interest for ancient Greek or something but to avoid using Christ in the name as it was done in modern times from people who wanted to capitalize on Christmas but did not believe in Christ and believe me they did not think aha X was used for Christ so lets use that instead of Christmas.

They Instead use Xmas to remove any religious aspect from the Holiday and not to honor some Ancient Greek way of spelling it language changes over time and so do meaning of Words what people a thousand years back then understood with X''Temmas is different from what people use and understand nowadays when they use the commercialized term Xmas.

but we are on a disagreement about this so just agree to disagree as arguing would not lead to anywhere and would not turn out nicely and we want to avoid this besides it would get overly Religious which is not allowed on this site so peace.
Peace Out Goodbye GIF

There's really nothing to disagree on. It's right there and you're doubling down for absolutely no reason, but you do you, I guess. Merry Xmas.

And now you are just provoking mate.
Very immature I won't pay you anymore of my attention so Merry Christmas.
Also saying I have no reason is completely disregarding peoples concerns.
Anyhow people have different believes on that matter so it is a disagreement and proclaiming you have the ultimate truth and there is no disagreement since you are so right is not having a peaceful end to a disagreement but a provocation.
