Basically I finished my masters last year and didn't get accepted for the PhD program (Damn..) anyways all I have is some personal projects on flutter and basically no experience and I wanna know how screwed I am
(If this is not the right place to post this please tell me I just wanted to get it off my chest)

Hi, I've been working as a software engineer for 10 years. If you have no actual experience making apps/software then it will be quite difficult. Here's what I would recommend:

Build a portfolio of examples, projects and apps in Github or any repository of your choice.

Showcase different design patterns and technologies. Be ready to explain them in interviews.

Apply for courses that provide certifications, like Facebooks React Native.

Focus on a specific tech stack if you can. Often companies look for professionals in an area rather than an all rounder.

Algorithm/Problem solving is appreciated but don't fixate on it. What we observe on interviews is how you approach the problem, how you explain your thought process to us.

And the last bit of advise I can give is:
It's not the end of the world if you don't know a certain statement/pattern or answer; we all Google things daily.

Even John Carmack forgets some C++ syntax

Damn bro I feel bad for you, hope you get what you wanted someday

Thanks for your insight I already started learning flutter and plan to focus on it for the time being
I really can't apply for any courses tbh I'm barely scraping by as it is (unless they're free then I'm all for it)
I know I can learn anything if I put my mind to it but .Tbh I'm scared that after I put more time on learning something and then I can't even find an interview. Like my head keep playing this worst case scenarios and it doesn't feel good.I mean the demand in my country is very low(and they mostly require french which I suck at it), and it seems that finding a remote one will be even more challenging .(Sorry for being gloomy I really can't help it )

You have to stop living in the future, anxiety and skepticism helps no one. Focus on today, work on the path you want.
