Quite the feat. And at 1.8 out of 10, I don't see anything overtaking that probably in our lifetime. In any other employment, if someone was largely responsible for sinking your whole project, and burn all the money away, they would be shit canned and blacklisted immediately from the industry. ::badpc

Let’s give credit where credit is due: despite the insistence that they’re “reimagining” these stories, they manage to retain the same level of imagination as a block of tofu. And how charming it must be for them to stubbornly refuse to learn from their spectacular misadventures—like a child blissfully playing with fire and wondering why they keep getting burned. But fear not, dear audience; they’ll keep churning out these flops until they finally slip on the banana peel of their own hubris.

So, here’s to Snow White: a dazzler destined to join the ranks of Disney’s legendary flops, swiftly forgotten and buried under the avalanche of corporate greed. Cheers to the studio’s unwavering commitment to squandering potential—it’s almost poetic! Let’s just hope they at least learn how to count their box office losses better next time. After all, if at first you don’t succeed, just keep failing gloriously.

Don't celebrate just yet, there are still some other classic Disney titles that has not been botched.
The fight is only just begun!

Let’s give credit where credit is due: Gal Gadot is still looking sexy here.
But yeah that's where the 1.8 point probably came from.

How many times have these "live action demakes" succeeded? I feel like Disney is on the guillotine at this point

I mean, people used to get blacklisted from Hollywood financing for making huge flops before. Then Disney got too big to fail and they just burn money with no consequences.

In any case, what was so bad about this Snow White movie? Not that we needed a Snow White remake in the first place. They should've just remastered the original animations and re-released them in the theaters. It would probably make more money than the live action adaptations.

Uh, well it's not a creative triumph, but Lion King and Beauty and the Beast made a combined $3,000,000,000. I hate that they keep making these, but audiences have definitely rewarded them for it.

This, sums it up pretty well

People liked these up live-action remakes until Mulan, but the peak has clearly been crossed and we're now tumbling straight into the slop trough. I wonder which one is generally considered the best? Beauty and the Beast? Does anyone here actually like any of them?

I actually wouldn't mind watching the live-action Lion King as a sheer matter of curiosity, since it's basically just an animated nature documentary, and I find that interesting. I PROBABLY WON'T, THOUGH

Dang it, if i can quote that one guard from Oblivion "WHY WONT YOU DIE!"

I'm sure this doesn't count, but I actually do have some fond memories of the live-action 101 Dalmatians movie. (Never saw the sequel; sure it was poo.) Glenn Close was picture-perfect casting for that role. I think I might even like it better than the original!

it's not so much that it's bad; but everything that came before hand. the lead actress is obnoxious and was very insulting to the original movie that Walt Disney himself made. she said that she hated half of the country of america, the little goblin named peter dinklage[no, i don't care if i spelt that right] didn't help by basically get all dwarf actors/actress barred from ever getting a movie role again; everyone is getting bored of live action remakes. that's primarily what we have gotten over the past decade. the movie looks half assed, and it apparently has 2 different plots stitched together. basically robin hood and snow white rolled up into one.
hollywood hates animation. it will never happen for the foreseeable future.
